Taicang Container House Specifications
Taicang container houses come in a variety of specifications. Common standard container houses are mainly 20-foot and 40-foot types, with internal dimensions of 5.868m×2.252m×2.268m and 11.580m×2.252m×2.268m respectively. There are also customized specifications such as 6m×3m×2.8m.

Standard Container House Specifications
Standard container houses are modified based on maritime containers, with common specifications including 20-foot and 40-foot types. The external dimensions of a 20-foot container house are 6.058m (length) × 2.438m (width) × 2.591m (height), with an approximate internal net dimension of 5.868m×2.252m×2.268m and a self-weight of about 2200 kilograms. The external dimensions of a 40-foot container house are 12.192m×2.438m×2.591m, with an approximate internal net dimension of 11.580m×2.252m×2.268m and a self-weight of about 3800 kilograms. These specifications are widely used in construction site dormitories, office buildings, and temporary medical facilities due to their standardized design, which facilitates transportation and stacking.
Customized Container House Specifications
In addition to standard specifications, container houses in the Taicang area can be customized in size according to requirements. For example, the 6m×3m×2.8m specification is commonly used for construction site dormitories and can accommodate about 10 people. The small 3m×3m×2.8m container is often used as a guardhouse or tool warehouse. The elongated 7m×3m×2.8m container is suitable for two-story dormitory buildings, improving space utilization by adding corridors and awnings. The thickness and structure of the materials for customized containers can be adjusted. For example, the walls use 75mm-thick color-steel glass-wool sandwich panels, and the roof uses 0.45mm galvanized color-steel plates to meet insulation requirements under different climatic conditions.
Packaged Container House Specifications
Packaged container houses adopt a modular design and are prefabricated in factories before on-site assembly. The internal dimensions of a standard packaged container are 5880mm (length) × 2840mm (width) × 2500mm (height). The bottom frame uses 3.0mm-thick galvanized main beams, and the roof and walls are made of 0.45mm galvanized color-steel plates with 100mm glass wool and 75mm-thick color-steel glass-wool sandwich panels respectively. These containers weigh about 1350kg and have the characteristics of rapid deployment and reusability, making them suitable for emergency rescue, exhibition events, and other scenarios.
