Tacheng Mobile Toilet Renovation

Admin September 23, 2026

Tacheng has taken different measures for mobile toilet renovation in rural areas and tourist routes, achieving remarkable results.

Renovation Measures in Rural Areas

  • Building a Diversified Toilet Renovation System: Select toilet renovation models according to local conditions based on the topography, landform, and climatic conditions of different regions. For example, in some remote pastoral areas of Hoboksar County, where the winter temperature is extremely low and the permafrost layer is thick, the focus is on promoting double-pit alternating dry toilets and three-chamber septic tanks. Yumin County implements a differentiated layout, with urban-fringe villages adjacent to municipal sewage pipelines achieving full pipeline coverage and being equipped with flush toilets, while remote villages promote low-cost and easy-to-maintain decentralized non-powered household toilets. Axi'er Township, Yikeshu Village in Tacheng City has integrated funds to build a sewage treatment system and laid sewage pipelines, achieving full coverage of sanitary toilets.
  • Strictly Controlling the Quality of the Entire Process: The region strictly controls the key points of site selection, construction, and acceptance in the rural toilet revolution. The "first-toilet-pass" system and the "one-household-one-acceptance" standard are implemented, with professional personnel providing on-site guidance at each link to ensure renovation quality.
  • Building a Diversified Investment Pattern: In terms of funding, a diversified investment pattern of "government subsidies leading, farmer self-financing participation, and social capital supplementation" has been established. Since 2019, a total of 163.1032 million yuan in special funds from the central and autonomous regions has been secured, providing solid financial support for the renovation work.

Renovation Measures on Tourist Routes

In the 2025 project of subsidies for mobile toilets on key tourist routes across Xinjiang, Tacheng region plans to build 4 mobile toilets on the G217 and G219 highways. The winning bidder is Xinjiang Shimai Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. The construction scope includes K610 on the Duku Highway (Wusu Section), K659 on the Duku Highway (Wusu Section), Jialepake Tale Village, Halabula Township, Yumin County, and Parking Lot No. 8 of Songhai Bay Scenic Area, Hoboksar County. The construction period is 35 calendar days (subject to the contract agreement), which will effectively improve the toilet service level on tourist routes.
