Our Company Introduces Precautions for Installing Container Houses
Admin September 11, 2026
Once a container house is built, installation is equally critical. Below are several points to watch during container house installation—take a look with us.
- Pay attention to drainage and water supply: A container is an all-steel structure. Only when drainage and water supply basics are done well can dampness be avoided later. In general, the ground for installing a container house should be higher than the surrounding terrain, and drainage ditches should also be dug around the shell. In rainy summer seasons, the top of the container should be covered with a gable-shaped canopy so rainwater can run off. There are two main solutions for water supply: connect to the municipal water system, or add a storage tank. These two approaches can be used together.

- Pay attention to thermal insulation: Container houses are most commonly used to house workers on construction sites. The container itself has no thermal insulation, so it is cold in winter and hot in summer. In summer, when the outdoor temperature is 38°, the temperature inside the container often reaches 42°. That is why the insulation layer is so important. After the container house is fixed in place, a layer of sound-absorbing and sound-insulation cotton must still be added, and air conditioning should be installed.
- Pay attention to lightning protection: If a container house is installed in mountains or wilderness, the steel structure can easily become a lightning target in storms. Lightning grounding must not be taken lightly. Besides lightning protection measures, if the container house has stairs, living balconies, or similar structures, guardrails should also be welded on.
