Sunshine Container House Installation

Admin September 15, 2026

The installation of sunshine container houses requires a focus on core aspects such as frame design, modular assembly, and anti-corrosion maintenance. Here are the specific steps and key points:

I. Frame Design and Material Selection

  1. Dimension Design
Accurately calculate the length, width, and height of the sunshine room, and mark the positions of openings for doors, windows, and vents. For example, commonly used household profiles include 50mm, 75mm, or 100mm square tubes. Column profiles often use 100mm square steel, while horizontal keels use 75mm or 50mm square steel, with appropriate specifications selected based on stress analysis.

  2. Profile Processing
The frame material is typically carbon steel square tubes, which need to be cut to design dimensions (e.g., standard lengths of 12m or 8m). After cutting, it is recommended to first spray fluorocarbon paint (or apply putty and then paint) before installation to avoid on-site spraying pollution. Painting enhances rust resistance and extends service life.

II. Modular Assembly and Installation

  1. Track System for Movable Sunshine Rooms
If the container sunshine room is movable, a sliding track system needs to be installed on the ground, featuring a telescopic folding design that supports manual or electric opening and closing. Electric models require a remote control for one-button operation; manual models need additional safety locks to ensure module stability.

  2. Assembly Process for Container Panel Houses

    • Bottom Frame Installation: Connect the box bottom corners with the bottom beams on a flat surface, using hexagon socket bolts for fixation. Adjust the diagonal error to ≤3mm before tightening.
    • Secondary Beam and Floor Installation: Install π-shaped secondary beams according to the positioning holes, secure them with self-tapping screws, and then lay magnesium oxide board substrates. Mark the centerline with a chalk line and fix the floor with cross-head燕尾丝 (a type of screw).
    • Wall and Roof Installation: After unfolding the main frame, secure the walls with doors and windows using fastening screws to ensure airtightness. The roof needs to be equipped with skylights or glass partitions to enhance lighting.

III. Anti-Corrosion and Maintenance Points

  1. Rust Prevention
All cut and welded edges must be ground and coated with epoxy primer + topcoat. In humid southern regions, reapplication is required every 7-10 years; in coastal areas, every 3-5 years. The container body should be elevated on a foundation to avoid direct contact with ground moisture.

  2. Sealing and Leak Prevention
Regularly replace sealant (every 5-7 years) around doors, windows, container body joints, and roof gutters. Clear roof leaves and prohibit water accumulation to prevent steel plate corrosion.

  3. Preventing Internal Condensation
Reduce cold condensation caused by temperature differences by installing triple-glazed windows, interior insulation layers (e.g., rock wool boards) in walls/roofs, and roof eaves sunshades, improving living comfort.

IV. Compliance and Safety

  • Approval Procedures: For rural homesteads, building approval is required, and structural drawings must be provided. For leased land, temporary use is limited, and the contract must specify the nature.
  • Wind and Earthquake Resistance: For long-term outdoor use, reinforce corners with steel frames and construct concrete piers at the bottom to enhance structural stability.
