Sun Protection Performance of Mobile Toilets
The sun protection performance of mobile toilets is primarily achieved through material modification, structural protection, post-treatment, and silver-coated fabric design, offering high-efficiency UV resistance and strong weather resistance.

Material modification is the core method for enhancing sun protection performance. The exposed components of mobile toilets, such as exterior wall panels and roof covers, are often made of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) or FRP (Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic) materials. While these materials inherently possess good weather resistance, the addition of UV absorbers and hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) further enhances their UV resistance. UV absorbers convert UV energy into harmless heat, reducing the breakage of material molecular chains; hindered amine light stabilizers capture free radicals to inhibit photoxidation reactions, thereby extending the material's service life. Metal components (such as brackets and connectors) undergo galvanizing and plastic spraying treatments to form a dual protective layer: the galvanized layer provides basic corrosion resistance, while the plastic spraying layer (usually polyester or epoxy resin) blocks direct sunlight exposure, preventing metal oxidation. Some high-end products also feature special sun-resistant material shells, such as composite materials with added nano-titanium dioxide, which effectively reflect UV rays. The surface coating undergoes anti-aging treatment, ensuring it remains fade-resistant and deformation-resistant even after prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Structural protection reduces UV damage to internal structures through optimized design. The roof adopts an inclined diversion structure to prevent rainwater accumulation, reducing aging caused by UV exposure in waterlogged areas. Sealing strips are installed at the joints of exterior wall panels to prevent UV rays from penetrating the internal framework through gaps while improving overall sealing performance. This design not only extends the structural lifespan but also reduces the impact of internal temperature fluctuations on equipment.
Post-treatment further enhances sun protection effects. Exposed panels are sprayed with a matte weather-resistant coating, typically containing fluorocarbon resin or silicone-modified polyester, which offers high reflectivity and low light absorption, blocking over 90% of direct UV rays. After standard weather resistance tests (such as QUV accelerated aging tests), the coating remains structurally stable, showing minimal fading, chalking, or warping, ensuring long-term outdoor performance.
Silver-coated fabric design addresses the specific needs of tent-style mobile toilets. Some products use silver-coated fabric as a sunshade layer, with a silver ion coating on the surface that reflects most solar radiation, lowering the interior temperature. Compared to ordinary shading cloths, silver-coated fabric significantly reduces stuffiness during daytime use, providing a more comfortable experience while maintaining good light transmittance to prevent excessive darkness inside.
