Structure of Prefabricated Concrete Houses
Prefabricated concrete houses adopt an assembled reinforced concrete full-frame shear wall structure, constructed through factory-prefabricated core components and on-site assembly, featuring high strength, high thermal insulation, and high disaster resistance.

I. Core Structure and Materials
The core components (walls, floor slabs, beams, and columns) of prefabricated concrete houses are cast in one piece using high-precision molds at specialized production bases. The materials used are C30-C40 grade concrete with an embedded Φ8-Φ12 steel reinforcement mesh, forming a reinforced concrete composite structure. Its compressive strength reaches 25-30 MPa, which is 1.5 times that of traditional brick-and-mortar structures (approximately 15-20 MPa), effectively withstanding vertical loads and horizontal seismic forces.
II. Integrated Design
Each prefabricated module undergoes multiple structural integrations at the factory:
- Steel Reinforcement Framework: Serves as the primary load-bearing system, ensuring the integrity of the components;
- Thermal Insulation Layer: Walls are designed with EPS insulation layer slots, which, when embedded on-site, improve thermal insulation performance by 40%, reducing heating costs in winter and cooling costs in summer;
- Waterproof Layer: Pre-embedded waterproof materials or coatings are used to minimize the risk of leakage;
- Pre-embedded Pipelines: Electrical and plumbing lines are pre-embedded within the components, avoiding on-site trenching that could damage the structure and enhancing construction efficiency and safety.
III. Connection Method and Structural Integrity
Modules are rigidly connected using prestressed bolts + welded steel plates:
- Prestressed Bolts: Provide initial connection strength to resist shear and tensile forces;
- Welded Steel Plates: Further enhance joint stiffness, integrating all components into a unified frame;
- Overall Performance: After connection, the house can withstand wind speeds of up to Class 10 and has a seismic fortification intensity of Degree 7 (equivalent to the destructive force of the Wenchuan earthquake), capable of resisting moderate to strong earthquakes and extreme weather conditions.
IV. Performance Advantages
- Structural Safety: The reinforced concrete frame and shear walls work together to effectively disperse seismic energy, preventing localized damage;
- Construction Efficiency: Factory prefabrication reduces on-site wet work, shortening the construction period by 30%-50% compared to traditional buildings;
- Durability: The corrosion resistance of concrete and steel is superior to that of brick-and-mortar structures, resulting in lower maintenance costs;
- Environmental Friendliness: Modular production reduces construction waste, with a material recyclability rate exceeding 80%.
This structure combines efficiency, safety, and environmental protection through industrialized production and standardized connections, making it suitable for residential buildings, schools, hospitals, and other structures with high structural performance requirements.
