Storage-Type Mobile Toilet Design

Admin October 22, 2026

The design of storage-type mobile toilets can refer to the following two case plans and basic component structures:

Design Plan Based on Water Storage Barrels

Main Structure Modification: Select a water storage barrel of appropriate capacity as the core frame. Split it vertically in half from the middle. Use wooden boards to fix universal wheels at the four corners of the barrel body to achieve overall mobility. Add height support structures on the side of the barrel body with wooden strips and self-tapping screws to form a basic frame.
Wall and Roof Construction: Cut a rectangular opening on the side of the water storage barrel as a door opening. Install sponge strips to form a door frame and embed plastic soft boards to form an elevated wall. Invert the split upper half of the water storage barrel onto the top of the wooden strips as a roof to form a closed space.
Functional System Installation:

  • Drainage System: Drill a hole at the bottom of the barrel and install a drain pipe as a floor drain. Connect direct interfaces to the side and bottom holes and connect an external plastic barrel as a small water storage device. The drain pipe extends horizontally to the door through a tee joint and connects to the inlet pipe of the washbasin.
  • Sanitary Ware: Place a toilet and install a water tank, and fix and seal it with glass glue. Make a bathroom heater with water pipes and connect it to a tee joint and a showerhead to form a simple bathing function.
  • Detail Optimization: Drill holes on the door to install interfaces to ensure a reasonable pipeline layout. The overall structure needs to be treated with glass glue or sealant to fill gaps and prevent leakage.

Design Plan Based on Water Storage Tanks and Pallets

Mobile Chassis Production: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of a pallet to form a mobile base. Place a water storage tank recovered from a garbage station and use an angle grinder to cut along the top marking line to remove the tank top and form an open tank body.
Tank Body Combination and Opening: Invert and stack two open-top water storage tanks and fix the outer frame with self-tapping screws. Cut a rectangular opening on the side of the tank body as a door opening. Drill a hole in the internal floor and insert an elbow to connect a water pipe. Seal it and cut off the excess part.
Functional System Installation:

  • Drainage System: Place the toilet against the drain opening and fix it with glue. Fix water pipes with wall clamps, install a faucet, and fix a pipe cap with screws below it to connect to the drain pipe outlet. Drill a hole in the pipe cap, apply glass glue, and fix a stainless-steel basin as a washbasin.
  • Water Supply System: Connect the toilet water tank to the inlet pipe. Install a bracket and a seat ring for the shower hose and make a spray-type showerhead with water pipes.
  • Door Structure: Connect a wooden board to the tank frame with hinges to form a door and install a door handle to ensure easy opening and closing.

Basic Component Structure of Mobile Toilets

Core Modules: Include fecal sewage storage tanks (or disposal devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware (toilets/squat pans), walls, washing equipment (washbasins/faucets), water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices (universal wheels/pallets).
Design Points: It is necessary to take into account airtightness, stability, and ease of cleaning. The material selection should focus on waterproof and corrosion-resistant materials, and the pipeline layout should be simplified and easy to maintain.
