Steel Prefabricated Housing Finished Products
Steel prefabricated housing finished products have developed rapidly in China, with a substantial increase in export volume, characterized by efficient assembly, a high-end market structure, and significant price differences.

I. Development Status
In the first half of 2026, China's prefabricated building exports reached $2.79 billion, a year-on-year increase of 45%. Among them, exports of steel-structured modular building units surged by nearly 230% in the first five months, with products covering more than 150 countries and regions. This growth indicates a significant improvement in the international competitiveness of China's steel prefabricated housing finished products, along with a continuous expansion in demand.
II. Efficient Assembly Characteristics
Over 90% of the processes for steel prefabricated housing finished products are completed in domestic factories, including the pre-installation of wall structures, plumbing and electrical systems, bathrooms, kitchens, and even furniture and appliances. Upon arrival at the site, only lifting and pipeline connections are required, with an assembly rate exceeding 90%. This model reduces on-site labor by 70%, allows comprehensive solutions to be delivered within a few months, and shortens the construction period by more than one-third, significantly improving construction efficiency and reducing labor and time costs.
III. High-End Market Structure
In the past, steel prefabricated housing finished products were mainly exported to Southeast Asia, Africa, and other regions, focusing on low-end components. Today, high-end markets such as Europe, the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East have become the main drivers of growth, with product applications expanding from ordinary residences to permanent homes, star-rated hotels, student apartments, and even modular data centers required for computing power. The customer base has also shifted from ordinary engineering subcontractors to multinational real estate groups, government housing departments, and tech giants, marking a complete transformation in the market structure.
IV. Significant Price Differences
Prices for steel prefabricated housing finished products vary significantly among different manufacturers and types. For example, Anhui Richuang Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.'s foreign trade light steel villa hotel steel-structured movable prefab house for homestays is priced at 79.2 yuan per 19 square meters per month; Hangzhou Suge Construction Technology Co., Ltd.'s light steel keel structure self-built house is priced at 500.0 yuan; and Shanghai Qiangren Mobile House Co., Ltd.'s steel-structured mobile villa with luxury decoration, featuring 80 square meters, two bedrooms, two living rooms, one bathroom, and a movable integrated house from the source, is priced at 45,000.0 yuan. Price differences are primarily influenced by factors such as materials, design, functionality, and decoration standards.
