Stadium Mobile Toilets

Admin October 19, 2026

Not all stadiums are equipped with mobile toilets; instead, mobile toilets are deployed based on the needs and scale of events.

The use of mobile toilets is closely related to the scale of events. When a stadium hosts large-scale events, such as concerts or sports competitions, with a large number of participants, the existing permanent toilets often cannot meet the toilet needs of the large crowd in a short period. For example, in Hohhot's Xincheng District, when hosting concerts or large-scale stadium events, mobile public toilets that are thirty to forty meters long are used to address the toilet needs of tens of thousands of people. These mobile public toilets play a crucial role during the events, effectively alleviating toilet pressure. Datianwan Stadium also prepared more than 60 mobile public toilets to meet the needs of tens of thousands of people when hosting the "Yu Super" competition. Similarly, the 2025 Beijing Marathon set up 169 mobile toilets along the race route and increased the number of toilets on the east side of Tiananmen Square from the original 765 to 1119, all to cope with the toilet rush brought about by large-scale events.

However, there are also some issues with the use of mobile toilets. At G.E.M. Deng's concert in Taizhou, the placement of mobile toilets caused dissatisfaction among the audience, with some complaining about the strong odor and unreasonable placement. This indicates that when configuring mobile toilets, not only the quantity but also factors such as placement location and ventilation conditions should be considered to ensure the comfort and convenience of users.

Whether a stadium uses mobile toilets and the quantity used depend on the specific circumstances and needs of the event. On a regular basis, the permanent toilets in the stadium can usually meet daily usage needs, and mobile toilets are stored in places like warehouses. Only when hosting large-scale events will the number and placement of mobile toilets be reasonably configured based on factors such as the expected number of participants and the duration of the event to ensure the smooth progress of the event and a good experience for participants.
