Specifications and Dimensions of Prefabricated House Slabs

Admin September 18, 2026

The specifications and dimensions of prefabricated house slabs mainly include three aspects: length, width, and thickness, as detailed below:

Length (Span):
The length specifications of ordinary prefabricated slabs are quite diverse, with common options including 3000mm, 3300mm, 3600mm, 3900mm, and 4200mm. Among these, 4200mm is the most commonly used length for ordinary slabs. Additionally, there are some prefabricated slabs with special lengths, such as 3800mm and 4000mm, with 3800mm being the most commonly used specification for special slabs. In residential construction, the maximum span of prefabricated slabs is generally 4.2 meters, and this length does not strictly adhere to the modular system. If prefabricated slabs longer than this are required, they usually need to be custom-produced. The length modulus of prefabricated slabs is generally 300mm, meaning the length can be incremented in intervals of 300mm to meet different construction needs.

Width:
The width specifications of prefabricated slabs are relatively fewer, primarily consisting of 400mm, 500mm, and 600mm. Among these, 500mm and 600mm are the most commonly used width specifications. Prefabricated slabs with a width of 400mm typically feature a four-hole design, while those with a width of 500mm have a five-hole design. These hole designs help reduce the weight of the prefabricated slabs while maintaining their structural strength.

Thickness:
The thickness specifications of prefabricated slabs mainly include 120mm and 150mm. Among these, 120mm is the standard thickness, suitable for most conventional construction needs. However, if it is necessary to embed water pipes or electrical wires within the prefabricated slabs, a thickness of at least 150mm should be chosen to ensure sufficient space for pipeline layout and to avoid affecting the structural strength of the prefabricated slabs.
