Soundproof Container House

Admin September 14, 2026

The soundproof container house achieves efficient sound insulation through a multi-layer sound insulation structure, sound insulation cotton filling, and professional design, as detailed below:

I. Multi-layer Sound Insulation Structure and Sound Insulation Cotton Filling

Taking the patented technology of Jiangsu Qiheng Environmental Protection Technology as an example, its light steel container house adopts an integrated design of the roof panel and sound insulation and thermal insulation walls. The wall structure, from the outside in, consists of the following layers:

  1. Thermal insulation board: As the base layer, it provides initial thermal insulation and structural support.
  2. Breathing paper: Enhances moisture resistance, preventing water vapor penetration from affecting sound insulation performance.
  3. Structural board: Serves as the carrier for the sound insulation layer and is tightly combined with subsequent sound insulation materials.
  4. Double-layer sound insulation boards (Sound insulation board 1 and Sound insulation board 2): Form two sound insulation barriers, achieving broadband noise reduction through the combination of different materials (such as high-density sound insulation boards and sound-absorbing boards).
  5. Fireproof board: Acts as the inner protective layer and forms a second sound insulation cavity through the gap with Sound insulation board 2, further blocking sound transmission.

The sound insulation cavity design is a key innovation:

  • Sound insulation cavity 1 (between Sound insulation board 1 and 2) is filled with sound insulation cotton, which absorbs mid- and high-frequency sound waves through its porous structure.
  • Sound insulation cavity 2 (between Sound insulation board 2 and the fireproof board) forms an air layer, utilizing the low conductivity of air to block low-frequency noise.

II. Synergistic Noise Reduction of the Roof Panel and Walls

The roof panel adopts a "I"-shaped or "A"-shaped structure, reducing raindrop impact noise through its inclined design while forming a continuous sound insulation surface with the walls. The interior of the roof panel also features a thermal insulation cavity filled with thermal insulation cotton, which not only improves thermal insulation performance but also assists in noise reduction through material damping effects.

III. Compliance of Materials and Processes

According to international standards (such as the EU CE certification), soundproof container houses must meet the following requirements:

  • Material environmental friendliness: Use formaldehyde-free, low-volatile organic compound (VOC) sound insulation materials to avoid secondary pollution.
  • Structural stability: The steel frame and sound insulation layer are combined through mechanical fastening or bonding processes to ensure long-term use without loosening.
  • Fire resistance: Sound insulation materials must pass the ASTM E119 fire test and achieve a Class A fire resistance rating to ensure fire safety.

IV. Application Scenarios and Performance Verification

Such houses have been widely used in engineering camps, commercial temporary spaces, and emergency support scenarios. For example, the products of Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure have passed a Level 12 wind resistance test in engineering camps. Meanwhile, their sound insulation design can effectively reduce the impact of construction site machinery noise (such as generators and excavators) on the indoor environment, with an actual noise reduction effect of 30-40 decibels, meeting the needs of office and residential use.
