Principle of Single-Person Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

Single-person mobile toilets are mainly divided into three common types: packing-type, vacuum suction-type, and ordinary water-flushing-type, each with distinct technical principles and structural designs.

Packing-Type Mobile Toilet

The core principle of the packing-type mobile toilet is to process excrement using biodegradation or chemical decomposition techniques, eliminating the need for connection to a sewer system and making it suitable for water-scarce areas. Its structural design features an independent box-like form, equipped internally with a toilet seat, handwashing device, and storage container. After excrement enters the storage container, some models decompose organic matter into harmless substances by adding biodegradable materials (such as microbial agents), while others use chemical solidification techniques, adding curing agents to solidify excrement, reducing odor and volume. Liquid treatment typically involves separation through a filter layer, with solid portions sealed for storage. The ventilation system achieves air exchange through an activated carbon filter at the top, preventing odor diffusion. This type of toilet requires no external water or electricity connections, relying on solar panels or batteries to power the control system, offering a high degree of independence and portability.

Vacuum Suction-Type Mobile Toilet

The principle of the vacuum suction-type mobile toilet is to generate negative pressure through an onboard or fixed pump station to suction excrement into a storage tank or treatment station. Its structural design includes components such as a vacuum toilet seat, vacuum piping, and a suction pump. When the flush button is pressed, the vacuum pump activates, rapidly suctioning excrement into the storage tank while using a small amount of water to rinse the toilet seat surface. This type of toilet offers high processing efficiency, suitable for venues with high foot traffic, but requires regular cleaning of the storage tank or connection to a municipal sewage system, relying on external equipment support.

Ordinary Water-Flushing-Type Mobile Toilet

The principle of the ordinary water-flushing-type mobile toilet is to rely on gravity drainage to initially process excrement through a septic tank. Its structural design includes a water tank, flushing device, toilet seat, and septic tank. When in use, water from the tank flushes the toilet seat, with excrement entering the septic tank for sedimentation and decomposition. The liquid portion is discharged through piping, while the solid portion requires periodic cleaning. This type of toilet has a simple structure but requires connection to an external water source and septic tank, making it suitable for fixed venues with water and electricity facilities.
