Simple Mobile Toilet Production

Admin September 23, 2026

A simple mobile toilet can be made by modifying a water storage tank. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Basic Frame Construction

  1. Tank Body Processing: Use an angle grinder to split the water storage tank along the longitudinal centerline, forming two semi-circular tank bodies as the main structure. Ensure the cutting surface is flat to avoid gaps during subsequent assembly.
  2. Mobile Device Installation: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board to form a movable base. The size of the wooden board should be slightly larger than the diameter of the tank body to provide stable support.
  3. Height Reinforcement: Attach wooden strips with self-tapping screws to the upper edge of the tank body to form a circular frame. The recommended height of the wooden strips is 30-50 centimeters, ensuring sufficient space for use and facilitating subsequent wall installation.
  4. Door Frame Construction: Use an angle grinder to cut a doorway measuring approximately 60×40 centimeters on the side of the tank body. Attach sponge strips on both sides of the cut to form a sealed door frame, preventing odor from escaping.

II. Wall and Roof Assembly

  1. Wall Installation: Cut plastic soft panels and insert them between the wooden strips to form elevated walls. The soft panels should be waterproof, with a recommended thickness of 2-3 millimeters.
  2. Roof Covering: Invert the upper half of the water storage tank and place it on top of the wooden strips as the roof. Seal the connection with waterproof glue. The roof edge should extend 10-15 centimeters beyond the walls to form a rainproof eave.
  3. Appearance Treatment: Paint all wooden strips with white waterproof paint to enhance aesthetics and extend service life. The paint layer should be applied evenly, with a thickness controlled at around 0.5 millimeters.

III. Internal Facility Configuration

  1. Drainage System: Drill a hole at the center of the tank bottom and install a 5-centimeter diameter drain pipe to form a floor drain. The drain pipe should be connected to an external sewage tank, with a slope maintained at 3%-5% to ensure smooth drainage.
  2. Water Storage Device: Drill holes on the side and bottom of a plastic bucket and connect them with direct fittings. Invert the plastic bucket and fix it on the roof as a water storage tank. The recommended water storage capacity is 50-80 liters, meeting daily usage needs.
  3. Bathing Equipment: Use water pipes to make a simple shower frame. Install a three-way fitting under the inlet pipe and connect a showerhead. The showerhead should be positioned 1.8-2 meters above the ground for comfortable use.
  4. Sanitary Facilities: Place the toilet on the drain pipe opening, install a water tank, and seal the connection with glass glue. The recommended water tank capacity is 6-9 liters, meeting water-saving standards.
  5. Handwashing Device: Horizontally connect a water pipe to the three-way fitting on the outlet pipe and extend it to the doorway to form an inlet pipe for a handwashing basin. The handwashing basin should be positioned 0.8-1 meter above the ground for easy access by people of different heights.
