Simple Mobile Toilet Bottom Construction

Admin October 01, 2026

There are mainly two common methods for constructing the bottom of a simple mobile toilet:

Construction Using a Water Storage Tank and a Pallet

  • Installing Universal Wheels: First, prepare a pallet of an appropriate size and fix universal wheels at each of the four corners on the bottom of the pallet. When choosing universal wheels, pay attention to their load-bearing capacity. They should be able to bear the weight of the water storage tank and any other weights that may arise subsequently, ensuring the mobile toilet can move flexibly.
  • Placing the Water Storage Tank: Place the water storage tank on the pallet. The size of the water storage tank should match that of the pallet to ensure stable placement. Generally, materials with a certain degree of strength and corrosion resistance, such as plastic or metal, are selected for the water storage tank.
  • Drilling Holes and Installing Pipes: Use a hole-drilling tool to create a hole on the inner floor of the water storage tank. The size of the hole should be determined according to the dimensions of the elbow and water pipe to be installed later. Then, insert an elbow from the bottom upwards. The angle of the elbow should be appropriate, and generally, a 90-degree elbow is chosen for easy sewage discharge. At the same time, insert a section of water pipe into the elbow and seal the gaps around the water pipe with glue to prevent sewage leakage.
  • Cutting Off Excess Water Pipes: After the glue has dried and solidified, cut off the excess water pipes protruding above the floor to make the bottom surface flat, avoiding scratching people or affecting movement during use.

Self-made Simple Bottom for Emergency Defecation

  • Using Large Plastic Bags: If used in spaces such as inside a vehicle, large plastic bags (such as garbage bags) can be laid inside the vehicle or in a fixed container as the bottom承接 (here, '承接' means 'to receive or hold, so we can translate it as 'receptacle' in this context, but for simplicity, we just describe the function). When choosing plastic bags, pay attention to their thickness and toughness. They should be able to bear a certain weight without breaking. Lay the plastic bags flat, and the edges can be fixed to the edges of the container or inside the vehicle to prevent displacement during use.
  • Using Small Cardboard Boxes and Plastic Bags: Pad the bottom of a small cardboard box with a plastic bag to form a simple enclosure structure as the bottom. Choose a relatively sturdy small cardboard box that can withstand a certain amount of pressure. Lay the plastic bag flat at the bottom of the box, and then place the box in an appropriate position. This simple bottom is suitable for some temporary and emergency situations.
