Simple Hygienic Mobile Toilet

Admin September 23, 2026

The simple hygienic mobile toilet can be made from materials such as water storage barrels or tanks. It is mobile, easy to transport, and suitable for various locations.

Design Method 1: Based on Water Storage Barrels

  1. Basic Structure Construction
Split a water storage barrel in half lengthwise to serve as the main body of the toilet. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board for mobility. Use wooden strips to increase the height of the barrel, enhancing internal space. Cut an opening on the side of the barrel, install a door frame and plastic soft panels as walls, and use the upper half as the roof to form an enclosed space.

  2. Drainage and Water Storage System
Cut a hole at the bottom of the barrel to install a drain pipe, creating a floor drain that connects to external drainage pipes or water storage devices. Cut another hole on the side to connect an interface and place a plastic bucket as a small water storage device for collecting wastewater. If hot water functionality is required, connect water pipes to create a simple shower heater (requiring an external power source or solar heating).

  3. Sanitary Ware Installation
Install a toilet (either direct-discharge or fecal-storage type) and a water tank inside. The water tank is connected to the toilet via pipes for flushing. If using a fecal-storage toilet, regularly clean the fecal wastewater storage tank. For direct-discharge toilets, ensure the drainage system is unobstructed.

Design Method 2: Based on Water Storage Tanks

  1. Mobile Chassis and Tank Assembly
Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a pallet bottom to form a mobile chassis. Place a water storage tank, cut an opening at the top of the tank, stack two open tanks, and secure them with self-tapping screws to increase internal height.

  2. Functional Area Division
Cut a rectangular opening on the side of the tank as a doorway. Cut a hole in the internal floor to install drainage devices (such as floor drains or drain pipes). Place and secure the toilet to ensure stability. Install a faucet, sink, and showerhead, connecting them to an external water source or the water storage tank for water supply.

  3. Enclosure and Decoration
Install a door (made of plastic or metal) to ensure airtightness. Line the internal walls with waterproof materials (such as PVC panels) to enhance durability and hygiene.

Core Components and Advantages of Mobile Toilets

Mobile toilets typically consist of fecal wastewater storage tanks (or disposal devices), flooring, sanitary ware, walls, washing facilities, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. Their core advantages lie in mobility (facilitating temporary deployment or repositioning), modular design (allowing combination and expansion to meet different scale requirements), and quick installation (requiring no complex infrastructure, suitable for emergency or temporary locations).

Suitable Scenarios

Simple mobile toilets are suitable for locations such as train stations, docks, tourist attractions, construction sites, and outdoor events, especially those with limited water and electricity conditions or requiring rapid deployment. By reasonably designing drainage and water storage systems, they can meet basic hygiene needs while minimizing environmental impact.
