Simple and Convenient Portable Toilet

Admin October 09, 2026

A simple and convenient portable toilet is a sanitary facility that can be moved as a whole and is suitable for various locations. The following is an introduction from its definition, composition, classification, and special types:

Definition and Suitable Locations: A simple and convenient portable toilet can be moved in its entirety and can be placed at locations with fixed or temporary needs, such as stations, docks, tourist attractions, large construction sites, and other places with high pedestrian traffic or temporary demands for sanitary facilities. It provides convenient toilet conditions for people.

Composition Structure: It generally consists of multiple parts. The fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device) is used to collect and treat fecal sewage; the floor ensures stability and comfort during use; sanitary ware is the equipment used for daily toilet use; walls serve to separate and protect privacy; washing equipment facilitates hand-washing and other cleaning activities; a water tank provides water for flushing, etc.; the roof offers shelter from wind and rain; and the mobile device gives the toilet the ability to be moved as a whole.

Classification Methods:

  • By structural form: It can be divided into single-structure portable toilets and composite-structure portable toilets. Single-structure toilets are relatively independent and simple, while composite-structure toilets may be more complex and diverse in terms of functionality or space utilization.
  • By moving method: There are lifting and handling portable toilets, which rely on lifting equipment or manual handling for movement; and powered and towed portable toilets, which use powered devices or vehicle towing for movement, making movement more convenient and efficient.
  • By sewage treatment method: It can be divided into water-flush and non-water-flush suction portable toilets. Water-flush toilets are similar to traditional toilets, using water to flush away waste, while non-water-flush suction toilets handle waste through suction. Recirculating water-flush portable toilets can recycle water, saving water resources; and dry-packing portable toilets pack and treat feces without using water.

Special Types: There are also ultra-mini portable public toilets built with building blocks, which may have features such as flexible assembly and a small footprint; and portable commodes designed for the elderly and pregnant women with mobility issues, fully considering the usage needs of special groups and reflecting humanized design.
