Soundproofing of Simple Container Houses

Admin September 15, 2026

Simple container houses can improve soundproofing through methods such as selecting soundproof materials, adding soundproof layers, optimizing structural design, and sealing treatments. Details are as follows:

Selecting soundproof materials: Ordinary iron-sheet container houses have poor soundproofing. They can be renovated using materials with soundproofing properties. For example, high-quality space capsule walls and ceilings add soundproofing, shock-absorbing, and sealing layers to block external noise. Cultural and tourism space capsules are internally filled with high-density thermal insulation rock wool, which not only provides thermal insulation but also has a certain soundproofing effect. Doors and windows can be made of broken-bridge aluminum double-glazed glass, which effectively blocks external sounds from entering the interior and meets usage requirements.

Adding soundproof layers: Adding soundproof layers to the walls, ceilings, and other parts of container houses is an effective way to enhance soundproofing. Soundproofing materials such as soundproof blankets and sound-absorbing cotton can be installed on the inner walls of the containers. These materials can absorb and block the transmission of sound, reducing the impact of external noise on the interior while also preventing interior sounds from leaking out.

Optimizing structural design: A reasonable structural design helps improve the soundproofing performance of container houses. For example, adopting a double-layer structure and filling soundproofing materials between the two layers to form a soundproof sandwich layer; specially treating the connection parts of the containers to reduce the possibility of sound transmission through the structure; avoiding holes or gaps in the container walls to prevent sound leakage from these areas.

Sealing treatments: Proper sealing of container houses is crucial for soundproofing. Check and seal the gaps around doors and windows, wall joints, and other parts of the containers using sealing materials such as sealant and sealing strips to prevent sound from entering or exiting through the gaps. At the same time, ensure that doors and windows are tightly closed to reduce sound leakage.
