Simao Intelligent Mobile Toilet
Simao has made progress in intelligent mobile toilets, covering the construction of smart public toilets and the rental and sales services of mobile toilets, and has achieved remarkable results in technical architecture, functional implementation, and scenario adaptation.

Smart Public Toilet Construction Practices
Simao has selected 20 public toilets with high pedestrian traffic in the central urban area for intelligent upgrades, covering key areas such as Meizi Lake Park and Xima Lake Wetland Park. Its technical architecture is divided into four layers:
- Perception Layer: Through equipment such as laser toilet stall sensors (detection accuracy ≥ 99.5%) and five-in-one environmental monitors (monitoring NH₃, H₂S, temperature and humidity, PM2.5), comprehensive perception of the public toilet status is achieved. For example, the laser toilet stall sensors are installed on the stall door panels, and the environmental monitors are placed on the top of the toilet area to ensure accurate data collection.
- Transmission Layer: A hybrid networking approach is adopted, with LoRa wireless transmission as the primary method and 4G/5G as supplementary methods, covering a distance of ≥ 500 meters. Each public toilet is equipped with an edge computing gateway that supports the connection of ≥ 100 nodes. Dual-link backup is used to ensure the reliability of data transmission, and the upload frequency can be configured to 1-5 minutes per time.
- Platform Layer: A smart public toilet cloud management platform is constructed, which has functions such as data storage, analysis, and early warning, supports multi-terminal access, and provides data support for management decisions.
- Application Layer: Through entrance guidance screens (21.5-inch LCD screens), mobile query systems, management personnel apps, etc., real-time display of toilet stall status, coverage of contactless services, and emergency assistance response (time ≤ 5 seconds) are achieved. Equipment such as ion deodorizers (deodorization efficiency ≥ 90%) and smart hand sanitizer dispensers (infrared sensing, capacity 1.5L) further optimize the user experience.
Mobile Toilet Services and Scenario Adaptation
Simao provides rental and sales services for mobile toilets. Some manufacturers focus on environmental adaptability and scenario-based design during production. For example, they adjust material specifications for cold or hot and humid regions and optimize system configurations to adapt to different climatic conditions. According to the needs of scenarios such as scenic spots and construction sites, they adjust the internal layout (such as adding barrier-free facilities or expanding the sewage storage system) to improve usability.
Transformation Goals and Results
After intelligent transformation, public toilets in Simao have achieved improvements in environmental quality (ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations ≤ 0.1ppm, PM2.5 ≤ 75μg/m³), increased management efficiency (equipment failure rate reduced by 60%, operation and maintenance costs reduced by 30%), and data interconnection and interworking (connected to the Pu'er Smart City Management Platform). Mobile toilets meet the needs of temporary or mobile scenarios through modular design, forming a "fixed + mobile" smart public toilet service system.
