Shiyan Container House Materials

Admin September 17, 2026

The main materials for container houses in Shiyan include stainless steel, sandwich panels, steel structures, color-coated steel, galvanized sheets, corrugated sheets, high-strength low-alloy structural steel, aluminum sheets, etc. Different materials serve different functions in the house structure.

Sandwich panels are the core enclosure materials, consisting of inner and outer layers of color-coated steel sheets with an intermediate filling layer. As the surface layer, color-coated steel sheets are corrosion-resistant and easy to process. The intermediate filling material directly affects performance. For example, polyurethane-filled panels have a fire rating of B1, while rock wool-filled panels can reach an A-grade fire standard. Additionally, rock wool offers excellent thermal insulation properties. This combination enables sandwich panels to meet structural strength requirements while providing fire resistance and thermal insulation functions.

Steel structures are the core of the main load-bearing framework, typically made of galvanized steel or weathering steel. The material thickness generally ranges from 1.2 to 2 mm, forming a stable structure through welding or bolt connections. Galvanizing enhances the steel's corrosion resistance and extends its service life. Weathering steel, designed with special alloy compositions, forms a dense oxide layer in natural environments, further improving durability. All connection nodes must comply with ISO standards to ensure structural safety and interchangeability.

Other materials serve auxiliary functions: Galvanized sheets are commonly used for roof or wall base layers, utilizing the zinc layer to prevent rust. Corrugated sheets enhance structural rigidity through their wavy design while reducing self-weight. High-strength low-alloy structural steel is used in key load-bearing areas to reduce material consumption. Aluminum sheets, due to their lightweight nature, are mostly used for non-load-bearing decorative components. Stainless steel materials are primarily used in special parts with extremely high corrosion resistance requirements, such as connections in coastal areas or chemical environments.

Material selection requires comprehensive consideration of usage scenarios: In cold regions, rock wool sandwich panels are preferred to enhance thermal insulation performance. In humid environments, the thickness of the galvanized layer should be increased or weathering steel should be used. In high wind pressure areas, the design of steel structure connection nodes needs to be strengthened. All materials must pass relevant quality certifications to ensure compliance with building safety regulations.
