Shijiazhuang Prefabricated Assembled Houses
Prefabricated assembled houses in Shijiazhuang mainly include two types: laminated steel mesh prefabricated rural houses and light steel villas.

Laminated steel mesh prefabricated rural houses use laminated steel wire mesh sandwich panels, which are secondary R&D products of steel wire mesh cement polystyrene sandwich panels. Its structure consists of an insulation board, a concrete pouring layer, and a square-hole galvanized steel reinforcement mesh from the inside out, belonging to a new type of multifunctional composite wall material. In terms of construction methods, it has shifted from the traditional 'on-site pouring' to 'factory prefabrication + on-site assembly': the factory customizes panels according to the house design requirements, and during construction, the panels are assembled and fixed on-site, and then concrete is poured to form the walls, achieving 'building block'-style rapid construction. Taking a 150-square-meter house as an example, it can take as little as 15 days from design to acceptance. Factory production ensures uniform standards, good overall integrity, and excellent seismic performance, guaranteeing building quality from the source.
Prefabricated light steel villas use light steel studs synthesized through the cold-rolling process of hot-dip galvanized steel strips as the main material, with the frame assembled from tens of thousands of components. Through calculations and auxiliary support combinations, the light steel studs form a reasonable load-bearing system that can replace traditional house structures. Its walls and roofs are composed of functional panels and insulation materials, featuring heat resistance, corrosion resistance, sturdiness, quick installation, and environmental friendliness. Taking a 300-square-meter building as an example, brick-and-mortar construction takes more than five months, while a light steel villa can complete the overall installation (including walls, decoration, and utilities) in just one month, significantly shortening the construction time. In addition, light steel villas use insulation, soundproofing, and energy-saving structures and materials to enhance indoor comfort; built-in pipelines and thinner wall designs increase the usable area of the house by about 10%; and flexible component combinations support complex and diverse architectural styles.
In terms of policy support, Hebei took the lead nationwide in launching a pilot program for prefabricated rural houses in 2022, providing a subsidy of 10,000 yuan per household for farmers who build new prefabricated rural houses included in the pilot program. Farmers can complete house construction applications, qualification verifications, and subsidy claims through a full online process. Some cities have also introduced supporting incentive measures on top of the provincial subsidies to further promote the popularization and application of prefabricated houses.
