How to Install Mobile Toilets in Shenzhen

Admin October 09, 2026

The installation of mobile toilets in Shenzhen should follow the steps below, with specific operations adjusted according to the product model and manufacturer's instructions:

1. Determine the sewage discharge method Select the sewage discharge mode based on the type of mobile toilet:

  • Packing-type/Microbial degradation-type: No need to connect to the sewer pipe. It can be directly placed at the designated location, but ensure that the ground is dry and away from water sources.
  • Flush-type: Plan the sewage discharge pipes in advance to ensure connection with the municipal sewer system or septic tank. Check the pipe slope (recommended ≥ 2%) to avoid blockage. For independent use scenarios (such as construction sites), a septic tank should be equipped and cleaned regularly.

2. Preparation stage

  • Site inspection: Confirm that the ground is level and the load-bearing capacity meets the standards (the self-weight of an ordinary mobile toilet is about 1-3 tons, which should be evaluated according to the model). If the ground is soft, pour a concrete foundation or lay steel plates for reinforcement.
  • Tools and materials: Prepare an electric drill (with a 4.2-millimeter drill bit), a rivet gun, expansion screws (M10×80mm), a level, sealing rings, neutral silicone glass glue, cement mortar (for sealing the sewage discharge port of the flush-type, with a ratio of 1:3).
  • Model selection: Determine the number of seats, whether to equip with a sink or ventilation system according to the use scenario (such as scenic spots or construction sites), and check the matching between the product size and the installation space.

3. Handling and positioning

  • Lifting method:
    • For pointed-roof toilets: The balance point is located 30-50 cm below the top. Use a crane to connect and lift it with steel wires.
    • For flat-roof toilets: Use the preset lifting hooks or the bottom frame for lifting. Avoid directly hooking the wall to prevent deformation.
    • For small and simple types (such as single-toilet compartments): They can be equipped with pulleys and pushed manually; large toilets (such as multi-toilet combined types) require the use of a crane.
  • Precise positioning: Turn the toilet over so that the sewage discharge port faces down. Use a laser level to determine the center position and draw a cross line extending to the four sides at the bottom. Use an impact electric drill to drill holes at the marked positions (depth ≥ 80 mm) and embed plastic sleeves for expansion screws.

4. Frame assembly

  • Base fixing: Align the base with the pre-embedded holes and fasten it with expansion screws to ensure that the level error is ≤ 3 mm.
  • Wall installation: Connect the right, left, and front wall panels in sequence. Align them through the slots, drill holes with a drill bit (spacing 200-300 mm), insert rivets, and fix them with a rivet gun.
  • Top assembly: Install the upper slots to support the ventilation louvers (if equipped), and finally cover the top cover and check the uniformity of the gaps.

5. Sealing treatment

  • Sewage discharge port sealing: Wrap a rubber ring around the interface between the toilet sewage pipe and the base, and apply glass glue or fill with cement mortar on the outer layer (for the flush-type, wait for the mortar to solidify for 24 hours before flushing).
  • Wall joints: Fill the gaps between the panels with neutral silicone glue to prevent rainwater from seeping in and causing internal corrosion.

6. Debugging and acceptance

  • Function testing: Check the tightness of the screws, the flushing pressure of the toilet (the flush-type should be ≥ 0.3 MPa), the air volume of the ventilation system (≥ 80 m³/h), and confirm that there is no water leakage or odor leakage.
  • Cleaning and disinfection: Wipe the internal surfaces with a chlorine-containing disinfectant (concentration of 500 mg/L), focusing on cleaning high-frequency contact areas such as the toilet and door handles.

Precautions: Before installation, check the product qualification certificate and environmental protection certification (such as the microbial degradation-type should comply with the HJ/T 375-2007 standard); the flush-type toilets should apply for a temporary sewage discharge permit (if used on construction sites); regularly check the aging of the sealing glue and replace it every 2 years to maintain airtightness.
