Shenzhen Mobile Toilet Construction
The construction of mobile toilets in Shenzhen is characterized by innovation and diversity, covering various types such as rapid-assembly, prefabricated, and environmentally integrated designs.

Rapid-Disassembly and Assembly Mobile Toilets
Innovative and eco-friendly mobile toilets exist in Shenzhen, offering significant advantages. These toilets feature a rapid-disassembly and assembly design, enabling quick setup within a short period. They can be placed anywhere and used immediately, and can be relocated at any time, greatly enhancing flexibility in use. They are suitable for various temporary event venues or scenarios requiring flexible toilet positioning. Additionally, they do not require water, electricity, or sewage facilities, eliminating dependence on water and electricity lines and sewage pipes in traditional toilet construction, thereby reducing construction costs and complexity. Moreover, waste is not exposed, effectively improving surrounding environmental hygiene. Furthermore, they require no cleaning, allowing users to leave immediately after use, reducing the workload and cost of manual cleaning and improving usage efficiency.
Prefabricated Public Toilets
Taking the "Space Capsule" public toilet at the Longgang Universiade Center as an example, it adopts a prefabricated construction method. Within a 120-square-meter space, 36 toilet stalls are cleverly arranged, making full use of limited space resources. Moreover, it is equipped with functional spaces such as a baby care room, a third toilet, and a dressing room, fully considering the usage needs of different groups and reflecting a human-centered design concept. The prefabricated construction method significantly shortens the construction period of public toilets, ensures easier quality control, and facilitates later maintenance and updates.
Environmentally Integrated Design Public Toilets
The "Wind-Hiding Pavilion" public toilet at the Longgang Universiade Center showcases a unique design concept. Its main body is hidden underground, with only a light-shadow-like canopy and several lightweight U-shaped glass panels emerging above ground. The roof is covered with soil and planted with grass, seamlessly blending with the surrounding environment. This design not only reduces the occupation of ground space but also minimizes the impact on the surrounding landscape, achieving harmonious coexistence between public toilets and the natural environment, reflecting Shenzhen's respect and protection for the ecological environment in public toilet construction.
In addition, since 2017, Shenzhen has achieved remarkable results in public toilet construction, having built 618 new public toilets and renovated and upgraded 3,508 existing ones. The total number of public toilets in the city now exceeds 4,600, all of which are open to the public free of charge, providing citizens with a more convenient and comfortable toilet environment.
