Shenzhen Mobile Toilet in Bao'an

Admin September 22, 2026

The mobile toilets in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, represented by the 'Bao'an Easy Station,' are innovative public toilet solutions that integrate technology, environmental protection, and convenience services.

Basic Functions and Design Features

The 'Bao'an Easy Station' employs a modular prefabricated lightweight steel structure, with its main body assembled from 2-4 modular components hoisted into place. Measuring 11.8 meters in length, 2.5 meters in width, and 2.8 meters in height, it can be constructed and put into use within half a day, significantly enhancing construction efficiency. Its exterior design incorporates elements from Bao'an's iconic buildings, while its interior and exterior walls are equipped with two 55-inch tech screens and stylish light boxes that continuously display government information, tourism updates, city promotional videos, and safety reminders, combining practicality with promotional functions.

Environmental Protection Technology Applications

The station utilizes several advanced environmental protection technologies:

  • Vacuum Suction System: Quickly removes waste through negative pressure, reducing odors and water usage;
  • Microbial Degradation Technology: Uses specific bacterial strains to decompose organic matter, achieving harmless treatment;
  • Air Bacteriostatic Device: Inhibits bacterial growth through physical or chemical means, ensuring a hygienic restroom environment.
    These technologies align with green and low-carbon principles, reducing reliance on traditional sewage systems.

Convenience Services and Human-Centered Design

In addition to basic restroom facilities, the station incorporates several thoughtful designs:

  • Third Restroom: Equipped with child-sized sinks, accessible sinks, child-sized toilets, foldable baby seats, foldable母婴台 (mother-and-baby tables), and handrails for the disabled, meeting the needs of special groups;
  • Convenience Facilities: Integrates self-service vending machines, shared power banks, shared umbrellas, shared tissues, and a 'Workers' Haven' to provide emergency services for citizens;
  • Sanitation Worker Rest Area: Offers temporary rest spaces for frontline workers, demonstrating humanistic care.

Future Plans

The Bao'an District Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau will continue to advance the 'Toilet Revolution,' planning to add 20 street-featured mobile public toilets across the district to further optimize toilet layouts and enhance service levels. This initiative not only alleviates restroom shortages in public areas but also provides a new model for refined urban governance.
