Facilities at the Shengzhou Service Area (on the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou Expressway)
The Shengzhou Service Area (on the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou Expressway) does not currently provide public shower facilities. Although there is a 24-hour hot water supply in the service area's restrooms, this is mainly for the convenience of travelers for simple cleaning. Travelers can use portable folding basins for wiping to meet basic cleaning needs. This setup mainly takes into account factors such as the service area's space, water consumption, and management costs. In a place with a large flow of people like a service area, providing public shower facilities would require a significant amount of space, and water consumption would also increase substantially, putting pressure on the service area's water supply and sewage treatment. Moreover, the management and maintenance costs of public shower facilities are relatively high, requiring dedicated personnel for cleaning and disinfection to ensure hygiene and safety. Therefore, at present, the Shengzhou Service Area (on the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou Expressway) only provides basic hot water for wiping and has not set up public shower facilities.
