There are innovative application cases of container houses in the areas around Shaxi, Zhongshan, such as Longtouhuan Village. In 2020, young entrepreneur Zhou Xiaodi used shipping containers as materials to create the "Art Box·Dream" food and creative park. This project formed nine uniquely shaped shops by assembling containers into different shapes and painting them in various colors. Combining the historical and cultural characteristics of Longtouhuan Village (such as designing containers based on the prototype of ancient watchtowers), it introduced characteristic catering brands, activated idle wasteland, and helped the integration of local cultural and tourism industries. Container houses in this case demonstrated the characteristics of modularity, strong plasticity, and flexible design, becoming an innovative carrier for rural revitalization.
Project Land Acquisition: Shaxi Village Involved in Railway Logistics Hub Construction
The collective land (0.0021 hectares, approximately 0.0315 acres) of the fourth and fifth economic cooperatives in Shaxi Village, Jianggao Town, Baiyun District, Guangzhou, has been included in the land reserve project for the east side of the Guangzhou Railway Container Center Station. This center station is a comprehensive railway hub under the national "Belt and Road" strategy and will become the economic center of South China's railways and a cross-border logistics and trade hub between Asia and Europe. The land acquisition compensation standard is 3.9 million yuan per hectare (including 1.95 million yuan per hectare for land compensation and resettlement subsidies respectively), reflecting the policy support for container logistics infrastructure construction.
