Policy Support and Project Achievements Stand Out: Shaoxing has issued regulations requiring all new construction projects on transferred or allocated land in the central urban area to implement prefabricated construction. It also provides incentives based on the implemented area through policies. By 2025, the city has initiated 150 new prefabricated building projects, covering a total area of 8.0977 million square meters, accounting for 40.2% of the newly built floor area, and ranking first in the province in terms of the completion rate of implemented area. The cumulative construction area has reached 78.3839 million square meters.
Industrial Bases and Production Capacity Are Complete: The city has cultivated 6 national-level industrial bases and 12 provincial-level bases, established 12 PC component production bases with an annual production capacity of approximately 400,000 cubic meters, forming a full industrial chain covering design, production, construction, and decoration. For example, the production base of Zhejiang Yuanda Qinye Housing Industrialization Co., Ltd. covers an area of 230 acres, with an annual production capacity of 2.6 million square meters in its first-phase project.
Leading Enterprises Have Advanced Technologies: Zhejiang Yuanzhu Housing Industrialization Co., Ltd. has acquired shares in a Dutch enterprise and introduced an autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) panel production line. Zhejiang Yuanda Qinye Housing Industrialization Co., Ltd. has obtained a utility model patent for a "prefabricated staircase stacking frame," improving construction efficiency and safety.
Construction Methods Have Significant Advantages: Prefabricated buildings adopt a "building block" model, where components are prefabricated in factories and then assembled on-site. They have the characteristics of high quality (seismic fortification intensity up to 8 degrees, design life extended to 100 years), high efficiency (shortened construction period), and green environmental protection (reduced construction waste, good sound insulation and fire resistance), promoting the green transformation of the industry.
Other Building Forms as Supplements: Shaoxing also develops prefabricated container houses, using standard containers as modules. They have the advantages of short construction period, low cost, and high flexibility, and are widely used in temporary housing, commercial spaces, and other fields.
