Shaoxing Container House Specifications

Admin September 15, 2026

Shaoxing container houses come in a variety of specifications, with the following common types:

I. Conventional Standard Specifications

  1. 3m × 3m × 2.8m With an area of 9 square meters, it is a small-sized specification, usually customized according to special customer needs. Due to its small size, it may cause material waste and has relatively few market applications.

  2. 6m × 3m × 2.8m Covering an area of 18 square meters, it is the most common standard specification on the market. It is widely used in construction sites, road construction, and other scenarios as temporary office or accommodation spaces. Its interior space can accommodate 6 bunk beds, meeting the living needs of 8 people while leaving extra activity space.

  3. 7m × 3m × 2.8m With an area of 21 square meters, it is mostly used in the design of two-story container mobile homes, equipped with corridors and balconies, suitable for use as management offices or multi-functional spaces.

II. International General Specifications

  1. 20-foot Container The external dimensions are 20 feet × 8 feet × 8 feet 6 inches (approximately 6.1m × 2.44m × 2.59m), with an internal volume of 5898mm × 2352mm × 2390mm. It is commonly used in maritime transport and modular building renovations, and its space can be expanded through splicing.

  2. 40-foot Container The external dimensions are 40 feet × 8 feet × 8 feet 6 inches (approximately 12.2m × 2.44m × 2.59m), with an internal volume of 12024mm × 2352mm × 2390mm. It is suitable for large-scale commercial or industrial scenarios, such as exhibition halls and temporary warehouses.

  3. 40-foot High Cube Container With an internal volume of 13.58m × 2.34m × 2.68m, a gross cargo weight of 29 tons, and a volume of 86 cubic meters, it provides higher vertical space to meet the storage needs of special equipment or high-rise buildings.

III. Customized Specifications

The dimensions can be flexibly adjusted according to customer needs, for example:

  • Long designs such as 3m × 8m and 3m × 9m are suitable for narrow terrains or special functional partitions;
  • Extra-large specifications such as 14m × 3.5m × 3.2m need to be modularly disassembled based on transportation restrictions.

IV. Packing-type Container Houses

With internal dimensions of 5880mm × 2840mm × 2500mm, they use galvanized steel structures and color-steel glass wool sandwich panel walls, offering the advantage of modular assembly and are suitable for rapidly deployed temporary facilities.
