All newly built sitting toilet seats are equipped with anti-slip and stable handrails on both sides. Traditional raised squat platforms are removed, and the internal space of individual toilet stalls is widened to facilitate wheelchair access. Each independent toilet stall is equipped with clothing hooks and small storage shelves.
Upgraded Supporting Services
Shaanxi Communications Control has simultaneously upgraded the full range of supporting services for public toilets in highway service areas across the province. To address the issue of long queues and a shortage of available toilet stalls in service areas during holidays and peak traffic periods, fixed toilet stalls are scientifically added, and tidal toilets and temporary mobile toilets are flexibly deployed to divert peak traffic. The smart toilet upgrade is also implemented simultaneously, with a smart red-green light toilet stall occupancy indication system rolled out across the region to help people quickly find available toilet stalls. High-power fresh air ventilation equipment is newly upgraded to monitor and purify the toilet air in real-time, improving the toilet environment. High-speed hand dryers are installed in all washing areas, and hot water is supplied around the clock to enhance the user experience.
