Self-Made Mobile Toilet
Admin September 24, 2026
Self-made mobile toilets can be constructed using either a water storage tank and a pallet or a water storage barrel. Here are the details:

Construction Using a Water Storage Tank and a Pallet
- Basic Frame Construction: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the pallet bottom for easy mobility. Place a water storage tank recovered from a garbage station as the basic structure.
- Tank Modification: Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line on the top of the water storage tank to form an open-top tank. Stack two open-top water storage tanks upside down and fix the outer frame with self-tapping screws to enhance stability.
- Doorway and Drainage Setup: Cut a rectangular doorway measuring 180 cm in height and 50 cm in width to meet personnel entry and exit requirements. Open a drainage hole on the internal floor, install elbows and pipes to ensure smooth sewage discharge.
- Sanitary Facility Installation: After fixing the toilet, apply sealant to prevent water leakage. Fix the water pipe on the wall with clips and install a faucet for easy water use. Make a washbasin with a stainless steel basin and connect it to the drainage pipe for washing functions.
- Other Facility Improvements: Install a toilet tank, shower hose, toilet seat, and showerhead to enhance comfort. Make a door with wooden boards and hinges and install a door handle to ensure privacy.
Construction Using a Water Storage Barrel
- Barrel Division and Basic Construction: Use an angle grinder to split the water storage barrel in half. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board and fix it to the upper side of the barrel with wooden strips and self-tapping screws to increase height and provide space for subsequent facility installation.
- Doorway and Wall Construction: Open a doorway on the side and install sponge strips to form a door frame. Embed plastic soft boards to form elevated walls, enhancing the toilet's sealing and stability.
- Roof and Appearance Treatment: Place the upper half on top of the wooden strips to form a roof. Apply white waterproof paint to enhance aesthetics and provide waterproofing.
- Internal Facility Installation: Make a simple door with foam strips and honeycomb wooden boards. Open a hole at the bottom of the barrel and install a drainage pipe to form a floor drain. Open a hole on the side to connect a direct joint, place a plastic barrel to form a water storage device, connect water pipes to make a bath heater, install a three-way joint to connect the showerhead, place the toilet and fix the tank, connect the drainage pipe to the sewage barrel, and connect a water pipe horizontally to the doorway as the washbasin inlet pipe and install a hose.
