Self-made Mobile Toilet Rack

Admin September 22, 2026

The self-made mobile toilet rack offers three options based on different needs: a simple fecal bucket/tool storage rack, a squat toilet support and odor-proof installation rack, and a mobile toilet made using a water storage tank and a pallet. Here are the details:

Simple Fecal Bucket/Tool Storage Rack:

  • Purpose: Suitable for corners of yards or storage rooms, used for orderly storage of fecal buckets and fecal-cleaning tools.
  • Material Preparation: Old wooden boards, square wooden strips (or lightweight angle steel), screws, and nails can be selected. For durability, choose wood that has been treated with anti-corrosion or rust-resistant metal materials.
  • Design Points: Designed as a multi-tier structure, the upper tier can be used to hang shoulder poles and place small tools; the middle tier for placing upside-down, air-dried empty fecal buckets; the bottom tier should be raised a certain height above the ground or covered with a waterproof layer to prevent moisture and corrosion. The structure should be sturdy enough to bear the weight of fully loaded fecal buckets.
  • Simple Steps: First, measure and plan. Determine the length, width, and height of the rack based on the quantity and size of the items to be stored and draw a sketch. Next, cut the materials. Cut the wooden materials or angle steel to the required sizes for the uprights and crossbeams. Then, assemble the frame. First, assemble two rectangular frames for the side supports, and then connect them with crossbeams to form a three-dimensional frame, ensuring that the right angles at each connection are flat. Finally, reinforce and treat. Add triangular wooden pieces or corner braces at key stress points for reinforcement. If used outdoors, apply tung oil or anti-corrosion paint to the wood and anti-rust paint to the metal parts.

Squat Toilet (Squat Pit) Support and Odor-proof Installation Rack: This plan is for creating a sturdy base for installing a squat toilet, with the core being stable support and thorough odor prevention. However, the materials, design points, and production steps are not detailed.

Mobile Toilet Made Using a Water Storage Tank and a Pallet (Including Rack-related Parts):

  • Materials: Plastic pallet, universal wheels, water storage tank (can be recycled from garbage stations), self-tapping screws, angle grinder, hole-opening tools, elbows, water pipes, glue, toilet, faucet, pipe caps, a hand-washing basin made from a stainless steel basin, wooden boards, hinges, door handles, etc.
  • Production Steps: First, fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of the pallet. Place the water storage tank on the pallet, cut off the top to form an open tank, stack two open-top water storage tanks and fix them with self-tapping screws. Cut out a doorway. Make holes in the floor of the water storage tank and install drainage-related components. Fix the toilet. Install the faucet, hand-washing basin, etc. Connect the toilet tank, shower, etc. Finally, install the door and door handle of the toilet.
