Selection Criteria for Mobile Toilets

Admin October 22, 2026

The selection criteria for mobile toilets mainly include five aspects: material and structural workmanship, odor and slip resistance design, after-sales and customization capabilities, basic dimensions and space design, and functional configuration specifications.

Material and structural workmanship are core factors determining service life and cleaning difficulty. Common materials include stainless steel, fiberglass, and metal sandwich panels. Stainless steel (such as 304 stainless steel) is corrosion-resistant and easy to clean, suitable for long-term use or high hygiene standard scenarios, but it is costly and heavy; fiberglass is molded as a whole, waterproof and moisture-proof, with high cost-effectiveness, but it has weak impact resistance; metal sandwich panels (such as color steel foam panels) are the least costly, but they have poor corrosion resistance, are prone to rust, and are difficult to clean. During procurement, it is necessary to focus on inspecting material thickness, welding workmanship, and surface treatment (such as anti-rust coatings) to avoid structural looseness or corrosion due to workmanship defects.

Odor and slip resistance design directly affect user experience and safety. For odor control, attention should be paid to the ventilation system (exhaust fans, vents), sewage discharge methods (the odor treatment capabilities of water-flush, foam, and packing types), and internal sealing (such as the tightness of the connection between the squat toilet and the sewage discharge pipe); for slip resistance, the ground material (whether anti-slip plates or anti-slip mats are used) and slope design (to ensure smooth drainage and avoid water accumulation) should be checked. For example, foam-type sewage discharge is recommended for outdoor scenarios due to its strong sealing and low odor; in humid environments, anti-slip mats or uneven-textured floors should be prioritized.

After-sales and customization capabilities are related to long-term use costs. It is advisable to prioritize source manufacturers that offer nationwide warranty, 24-hour response, and spare parts inventory to ensure rapid resolution of faults. At the same time, it is necessary to confirm whether the manufacturer supports customization of dimensions, functions, or appearance according to on-site needs, such as designing irregular structures for narrow spaces or adding handrails and emergency call buttons for special populations.

Basic dimensions and space design should meet actual usage needs. The common dimensions of a single-person mobile toilet are 1.2-1.5 meters in length, 0.8-1.0 meters in width, and 1.8-2.0 meters in height; the dimensions of a double-person partitioned type are usually 2.0-2.5 meters in length and 1.2-1.5 meters in width. The internal space should ensure that users can turn around comfortably to avoid inconvenience due to overly small dimensions.

Functional configuration specifications should be selected according to the scenario. The basic model is only equipped with a squat/sit toilet and a simple flushing system; the advanced model adds a sink, mirror, and storage shelf; the high-end model may be equipped with a ventilation system, heating and drying equipment, or an emergency call button. The drainage method should match the site conditions: direct discharge type is suitable for places with municipal sewage discharge, and water storage type (with a sewage tank) is suitable for outdoors without sewage facilities. The tank capacity is usually 100-300 liters and requires regular cleaning.
