Second-Hand Container House Installation
Admin September 17, 2026
The installation of second-hand container houses should be carried out according to specific types and scenarios. Common installation methods and key points are as follows:

I. Installation of Refrigerated Second-Hand Container Houses
- Site Preparation: Select a dry, flat area away from high humidity and flammable items as the assembly site to ensure environmental safety and stability.
- Material Preparation: The base container should have a complete structure. The insulation board should be made of polyurethane material. Color steel plates and supporting small parts (such as screws and sealing strips) should be prepared in advance.
- Assembly Steps:
- Arrange the base containers and lay a waterproof composite interlayer (such as PVC or rubber material) to prevent ground moisture penetration.
- Fill the gaps between containers with foam plastic fireproof cotton and cover the surface with iron sheets or stainless steel thin plates to enhance structural sealing.
- Install an air conditioning fan ventilation system to ensure good ventilation and prevent condensation water accumulation from causing corrosion.
II. Installation of 12-Meter Second-Hand Container Houses
- Foundation Construction:
- Select second-hand containers without severe rust, deformation, or cracks to ensure structural load-bearing capacity.
- Lay a cement foundation on a flat ground surface. The thickness should be adjusted according to geological conditions (usually 15-20 centimeters) to ensure stability.
- Container Connection:
- Place the containers according to the design plan and use professional tools (such as hydraulic jacks) to adjust their positions.
- Connect the containers through welding technology to form an overall frame structure. The welding points should be treated with anti-corrosion measures (such as applying anti-rust paint).
- Installation of Supporting Facilities:
- Interior: Lay thermal insulation layers (such as rock wool boards), soundproof cotton, install waterproof membranes, arrange electrical circuits (reserving socket and switch positions), and pipelines (such as water supply and drainage systems).
- Exterior: Apply environmentally friendly coatings to beautify the appearance, add skylights (which should be sealed and waterproof), porches, and other elements to improve living comfort.
- Acceptance Criteria: After construction, check the structural stability, electrical safety, and waterproof performance to ensure compliance with building codes.
III. Comparison of Installation Efficiency in Different Scenarios
- Engineering Camp Scenario:
- Suzhou Zhongnan Quick-Assembly Containers: A single set can be installed in just 2 hours and can be combined as needed. Ten standard dormitories can be built within one day. The packing containers have completed interior decoration and facility pre-installation before leaving the factory and can be used immediately after on-site hoisting.
- CIMC Standard Container Houses: A single set requires 3 hours for installation. The layout adjustment is limited, making them suitable for long-term fixed use.
- Yazhi Quick-Assembly Containers: Installation takes 4 hours and only supports basic assembly, with lower flexibility.
- Tianjin Yufada Ordinary Container Houses: Installation takes 5 hours. The layout is fixed and cannot be adjusted, making them suitable for low-budget short-term projects.
Core Installation Principles: Choose the type according to the purpose (such as strengthening insulation for refrigerated containers and focusing on structural connection for 12-meter containers). Prioritize ensuring safety and functionality before considering efficiency and cost.
