How are Mobile Toilets Charged at Scenic Spots

Admin September 28, 2026

The charges for mobile toilets at scenic spots vary depending on the type, rental duration, region, and service requirements. Here are some common charging models:

1. Charging by Type

The rental cost of mobile toilets is directly related to their functional configurations:

  • Basic Type: The daily rental cost is approximately 100-200 yuan, meeting basic sanitary needs and suitable for ordinary scenic spots or areas with moderate foot traffic.
  • Luxury Type: The daily rental cost is 200-500 yuan, equipped with more spacious interiors and independent bathrooms, commonly found in high-end scenic spots or high-traffic locations.
  • VIP Type: The daily rental cost is 500-1000 yuan, featuring luxury configurations such as showers and smart devices, often used in special scenic spots or important events.
  • Standard Model (with flushing and sink): 60-100 yuan per toilet per day, suitable for short-term use.
  • Premium Model (with disabled facilities and constant temperature function): 150-300 yuan per toilet per day, for scenarios with special requirements.
  • Circulating Model with Sewage System: 20%-30% more expensive than the simple model, suitable for long-term or environmentally demanding scenarios.

2. Charging by Rental Duration

The charging rules for rental duration vary by region:

  • Jingdezhen: Basic rental is calculated by the day. A single toilet (with flushing) costs 150-300 yuan per day, while a double toilet or one with compartments costs 300-500 yuan per day. Discounts are available for rentals exceeding 3 days.
  • Anhui: Single-day rentals are more cost-effective than multiple short-term rentals. For example, renting 10 toilets for one day costs a base price of 800-1500 yuan. Short-term rentals (1-2 days) for large events may be quoted by “trip” or “package”.

3. Other Fees

  1. Deposit:
    • Jingdezhen: 1-2 times the rental cost. For example, for a toilet rented at 200 yuan per day for 3 days, the deposit is 300-600 yuan, fully refundable upon return without damage.
    • Anhui: 30% of the total cost, refundable without damage after the event.
  2. Transportation and Installation Fees:
    • Jingdezhen: Usually free within the urban area, 50-100 yuan per kilometer for remote areas. Installation takes 1-2 hours, and advance booking is required for large events.
    • Anhui: Free within 3 kilometers for events with over 100 people, with an additional 50-200 yuan per trip for longer distances.
  3. Additional Service Fees:
    • Jingdezhen: Cleaning service costs 50-100 yuan each time, with consumables such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer costing about 20-50 yuan per day.
    • Anhui: Some suppliers offer “installation + cleaning + maintenance” packages, with a price increase of 15%-20%.
  4. Special Requirement Surcharges:
    • Jingdezhen: Accessible toilets, high-end models with air conditioning, or facilities such as night lighting and rain shelters are priced 50%-100% higher than the basic model.
    • Anhui: Custom logos or temporary toilet additions require advance communication for price adjustments.
  5. Water and Electricity Fees: Some scenic spots or remote venues require an additional payment of about 50-100 yuan per day.

Special Case: A scenic spot in Beihai, Guangxi, once sparked controversy with charges of “4 yuan per minute for foot washing and 2 yuan per person for toilet use”. However, the scenic spot responded that free toilets were available, and the charges were to alleviate queuing pressure. The market supervision department stated that as long as prices were clearly marked, it was compliant.
