Types of Mobile Toilets in Scenic Areas

Admin September 23, 2026

There are various types of mobile toilets in scenic areas, which can be classified into multiple categories based on materials and sewage treatment methods.

From the perspective of materials, there are mainly color-steel toilets and fiberglass-reinforced plastic toilets. Color-steel toilets have the characteristics of heat and sound insulation and a good appearance. They are relatively common in places such as parks and streets and also have certain applications in scenic areas. Fiberglass-reinforced plastic toilets are formed as a whole and have the advantages of being sturdy and durable, able to adapt to the complex usage environment in scenic areas^[2].

When classified by sewage treatment methods, the types of mobile toilets in scenic areas are even more diverse. Traditional water-flushing mobile toilets need to be connected to sewage pipes and are a common choice in scenic areas with sufficient water sources. They flush away excrement through water flow, with a relatively straightforward treatment method, but they require certain infrastructure support^[2].

Foam-sealing mobile toilets cover odors by squeezing foam, featuring water conservation and environmental protection. These toilets use the sealing property of foam to reduce water consumption and effectively control odors, so they are also favored by scenic areas^[2].

Microbial degradation mobile toilets can convert excrement into fertilizer and are relatively common in ecological parks and areas within scenic spots that have ecological-related zones. They use the decomposition effect of microorganisms to achieve the harmless treatment and resource utilization of excrement, in line with the concept of ecological environmental protection^[2].

Water-free packing mobile toilets are similar to diapers and can be directly sealed after use. In scenarios such as camping in scenic areas with a lack of water sources, these toilets become a necessary choice as they do not require water and solve the toilet problem in areas with insufficient water sources^[2][4].

In addition, there is a type of 6-row outdoor restroom for scenic campsites and parks. It is constructed with a galvanized steel frame structure and covered with waterproof asphalt shingles on top. It can be moved easily by being lifted. Internally, it is equipped with squat toilets, washbasins, exhaust fans, ceiling lights, and other facilities, providing a relatively comfortable toilet environment for tourists^[3].
