Scenic Area Mobile Public Toilet

Admin October 02, 2026

Scenic area mobile public toilets are public sanitation facilities set up to meet the toilet needs of tourists in scenic areas, featuring advantages such as mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation. The following provides an introduction from the perspectives of types, technical features, applications, and structural characteristics:

Diverse Types: They can be classified by structural form into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets; by mobility into hoisting and handling mobile toilets, and powered and towed mobile toilets; and by sewage treatment methods into water-flush and waterless suction-type mobile toilets, circulating water-flush mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets. Different types are suitable for different scenic area environments and needs. For example, in remote scenic areas without water sources, dry-packing mobile toilets can avoid sewage discharge issues; while in scenic areas with convenient transportation and large tourist volumes, powered and towed mobile toilets facilitate quick movement and arrangement.

Prominent Technical Features: Designed based on new materials and water-saving technologies, such as automatically collecting hand-washing water and adding special agents to achieve a flushing effect with only 0.46 liters of water per person, significantly saving water resources. The frame is welded with national standard steel, and the surface is covered with anti-corrosion and fire-resistant materials such as color-coated steel plates or carved panels, with a service life of over 20 years. Internally, it is equipped with an independent toilet pit zoning treatment system, where the urine channel utilizes gravity flow, and the feces channel is cleaned by a piston-type scraper mechanical device. It also features anti-slip floors, automatic flushing toilet bowls, and ventilation and lighting systems to enhance user comfort and hygiene levels.

Innovative Applications: Some scenic areas have introduced the innovative concept of "tide toilets". For example, Huizhou West Lake in Guangdong once set up "tide toilets" with switchable gender signs at the entrance to address long queues for female toilets. However, due to controversy over the freely switchable signs, they were later replaced with fixed slot-type door plates. Some parks and scenic areas in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Hangzhou, Wuhan, and Chongqing have trialed "tide toilets" with "gender-neutral toilets", using movable signs or lockable sliding doors to dynamically adjust usage rights based on real-time foot traffic, achieving significant results. For instance, after the introduction of "tide toilets" in Heidushan Scenic Area in Qinghai, the waiting time for female toilets during peak hours was significantly reduced.

Flexible Structural Characteristics: The exterior wall materials can be selected according to customer requirements or the surrounding environment of the usage location, including color-coated steel plates, metal carved panels, anti-corrosion wood, stainless steel plates, and aluminum-plastic panels. The main structure is welded with national standard light steel keels to meet overall hoisting requirements. Standard configurations include toilet bowls (urinals), coat hooks, vanity mirrors, waste bins, lighting fixtures, exhaust fans, door locks, and occupancy indicators; optional configurations include heating and cooling air conditioners, air purifiers, freeze protection systems, heating systems, background music, hand basins, and water-saving faucets.
