Sanya Container House Flooring

Admin September 17, 2026

Common flooring materials for container houses in Sanya include checkered steel plates, bamboo plywood, composite wood flooring, tiles, fiber cement boards, magnesium oxide fireproof boards, as well as container bamboo-wood composite flooring, anti-slip container flooring, etc. Different materials have significantly different characteristics and should be selected based on the usage scenario and requirements.

Checkered steel plates are made of carbon steel as the base material, with a diamond or lentil-shaped pattern pressed onto the surface. They have outstanding anti-slip performance, high strength, and wear resistance, capable of withstanding heavy loads and frequent foot traffic. They are suitable for high-traffic areas such as corridors and entrances. Their installation is simple, usually fixed by welding or bolts, with low maintenance costs. However, dust tends to accumulate on the surface after long-term use, requiring regular cleaning.

Bamboo plywood is made from bamboo as the raw material, bonded under high temperature and pressure. It has better environmental performance than traditional wood, is lightweight, and has good waterproof properties. Its surface is highly flat, making it suitable for projects with limited budgets. Its price is moderate, but its durability is slightly weaker than that of metal materials. It may deform when exposed to a humid environment for a long time, so moisture-proof treatment is required.

Composite wood flooring is made of multiple layers of wood fibers or high-density fiberboard as the base material, with a wear-resistant layer on the surface. It has a comfortable foot feel and is aesthetically pleasing, with easy installation (mostly using click-lock joints). However, its waterproof performance is poor, making it unsuitable for high-humidity areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. If used in dry areas, regular waxing is required to extend its service life.

Tiles are mainly made of ceramics or vitrified tiles, with excellent waterproof and easy-to-clean properties, especially suitable for areas that require frequent cleaning such as bathrooms and kitchens. However, they are relatively heavy (about 20-30kg/㎡), imposing high requirements on the structural load-bearing capacity of container houses. Moreover, replacing a damaged tile requires removing the surrounding tiles, making the operation complex.

Fiber cement boards are made of cement and mineral fibers, with a thickness of about 3.5 centimeters. They have a fire rating of up to Class A, are corrosion-resistant and moisture-resistant, suitable for scenarios with high fire safety requirements. However, their surface is rough and requires an additional decorative layer (such as PVC film or paint) to enhance aesthetics.

Magnesium oxide fireproof boards are an upgraded version of fiber cement boards, made of magnesium oxide and fiberglass cloth as raw materials. They are environmentally friendly with no formaldehyde or toxic smoke emissions, easy to install (can be directly cut and joined), and have better fireproof performance (with a fire resistance limit of more than 2 hours), suitable for projects with strict environmental and safety requirements.

In addition, the Sanya market also offers container bamboo-wood composite flooring (combining the advantages of bamboo and wood, balancing environmental protection and strength) and anti-slip container flooring (enhanced anti-slip performance through special coatings or textures) and other customized products, which can be selected according to specific needs.
