Sanshan Mobile Toilet
The connection between “Sanshan” and mobile toilets is mainly reflected in the construction of tourist toilets in the Sanshan Economic Development Zone and the general characteristics of mobile toilets.

Construction of Tourist Toilets in the Sanshan Economic Development Zone
In the construction of tourism infrastructure, the Sanshan Economic Development Zone has built six tourist toilets, including two 2A-rated and four 3A-rated ones. The grading of these toilets is usually based on the national standard “Classification and Evaluation of the Quality Grades of Tourist Toilets,” which involves indicators such as hygiene conditions, facility completeness, and environmental harmony. 3A-rated toilets represent a higher level of hardware configuration and service capabilities, potentially including barrier-free facilities, baby care rooms, and intelligent management systems, while 2A-rated toilets meet basic usage requirements. The layout of such fixed tourist toilets reflects the importance the Sanshan Economic Development Zone places on enhancing the visitor experience, but it should be noted that their site selection and construction need to be integrated with regional planning, and their flexibility is relatively limited.
General Characteristics and Advantages of Mobile Toilets
As supplementary facilities, mobile toilets have unique structural designs and functional features. Their core components include fecal sewage storage tanks (or disposal devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. These modular designs give them three major advantages:
- Mobility: Through wheeled or lifting devices, they can be quickly deployed to temporary event venues (such as music festivals, sports events) or areas where fixed toilets have insufficient coverage, adapting to the dynamic needs of the site.
- Resource Conservation: They avoid the demolition and reconstruction of fixed toilets due to site planning adjustments, reducing building material waste and construction pollution, which aligns with the concept of sustainable development.
- Wide Applicability: Mobile eco-friendly public toilets, as an upgraded version, use new materials (such as lightweight high-strength composite panels) and water-saving technologies (such as vacuum suction flushing), extending their service life while reducing water consumption. The independent urinal partition treatment system inside can achieve the separate collection of feces and urine, facilitating subsequent harmless treatment or resource utilization, in compliance with standards such as the “Design Standard for Urban Public Toilets”.
Potential Applications in the Sanshan Context
Although the Sanshan Economic Development Zone has built fixed tourist toilets, during peak tourist seasons, temporary events, or the development of remote scenic spots, mobile toilets can serve as a flexible supplement to enhance regional sanitation service capabilities. For example, on hiking trails, at camping sites, or in rural tourism spots, mobile toilets can quickly meet the toilet needs of tourists while minimizing interference with the natural environment.
