Sanitation Mobile Toilet Design

Admin October 09, 2026

The design of sanitation mobile toilets requires comprehensive consideration of various factors, including composition and structure, design principles, classification of structures and mobility methods, as well as appearance and space utilization.

In terms of composition and structure, sanitation mobile toilets are generally composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or fecal sewage treatment devices), floor slabs, sanitary fixtures, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobility devices. These components work together to achieve the basic functions of the toilet. For example, the fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect and treat excreta, the sanitary fixtures provide convenience for use, and the mobility device ensures that the toilet can be moved flexibly.

Regarding design principles, it is necessary to follow the principles of mobility convenience and economic durability to ensure that the toilet can be easily transported and installed while reducing construction and usage costs. It should also be environmentally friendly and beneficial to the environment by using eco-friendly materials and treatment methods to reduce pollution. Additionally, it should enhance efficiency and promote humanitarianism to meet the usage needs of different groups of people and improve the user experience. The overall structure should be lightweight, using lightweight and durable materials as much as possible to ensure structural robustness. The height and width of the toilet should be reasonably controlled, and the mobility device should be complete and reasonable.

In terms of classification of structures and mobility methods, mobile toilets can be classified into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets based on structural form; into hoisting and handling mobile toilets, and powered and towed mobile toilets based on mobility method; and into water-flush and waterless-flush suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flush mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets based on sewage treatment method. Different types are suitable for different scenarios and needs. For example, in areas with inconvenient water access, dry-packing mobile toilets can be chosen.

Regarding appearance and space utilization, some mobile toilets have a simple and stylish design, such as off-white exterior walls paired with orange-yellow curtain walls, with multiple male and female toilet stalls inside. Others integrate squat pans and shower rooms to maximize space utilization, for example, with a length of 9.6 meters, washbasins on both sides, and gray metal carved panels. In addition, some individuals have created movable toilets using water storage tanks, achieving basic functions through reasonable modifications.
