Sandwich Panel Container House

Admin September 16, 2026

The sandwich panel container house is a modular building form that uses a container frame as its foundation and sandwich panels as its enclosure structure, featuring structural stability, thermal insulation, rapid assembly, and environmental sustainability.

1. Structural Stability

The sandwich panel container house uses a standard container steel frame as its main structural body, employing high-strength steel (such as Q355B grade) for the main frame of the container. It forms a self-balancing system through rigid connections between corner fittings and side beams. This structure remains stable even when the length-to-width ratio approaches 2:1, eliminating the need for additional reinforcement components and reducing material usage by approximately 15%. Meanwhile, the longitudinal corrugated plates on the top of the container disperse stress through their corrugated geometry, preventing local buckling and further enhancing structural stability.

2. Thermal Insulation Performance

The enclosure structure of the sandwich panel container house adopts a composite design, commonly featuring a three-layer configuration of "rock wool - air layer - aluminized zinc plate." The rock wool layer, with a thickness ranging from 75 mm to 100 mm, has a thermal conductivity below 0.040 W/(m·K). The 5 mm air layer in the middle suppresses convective heat transfer through a closed cavity, resulting in an overall heat transfer coefficient (U-value) below 0.5 W/(m²·K). This design effectively reduces condensation risks in low-temperature environments and extends the service life of the steel structure.

3. Rapid Assembly and Flexibility

The sandwich panel container house adopts a modular design, with the main structure, interior and exterior wall decorations, and pipeline embeddings prefabricated in the factory. On-site installation only requires lifting and joint treatment, reducing construction errors from the centimeter level to the millimeter level. Additionally, it supports horizontal splicing and vertical stacking (up to 3 floors), allowing flexible adjustment of spatial layouts according to needs, making it particularly suitable for emergency projects and scenarios with tight schedules.

4. Environmental Sustainability

The steel recycling rate of the sandwich panel container house exceeds 95%, and the construction waste generated during relocation is reduced by 80% compared to traditional construction sites. Furthermore, some products integrate solar power generation systems and fresh air systems, further reducing energy consumption during use and aligning with the development trend of green buildings.
