Rural Prefabricated Integral Housing
Rural prefabricated integral housing is a house-building model that uses prefabricated components for rapid on-site assembly, characterized by fast construction speed, diverse structural types, and strong policy support.

Fast Construction Speed: Rural prefabricated integral housing significantly shortens the construction cycle through factory-prefabricated components and rapid on-site assembly. For example, houses assembled from prefabricated parts in rural areas of South Korea can have their main structures completed in just 14 days; the first fully prefabricated rural housing prototype in Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province, China, required only about 7 days for the main structural assembly; and the overall process from prefabrication to assembly for prefabricated rural houses in Hebei Province is also much faster than traditional construction methods. This rapid construction model benefits from the standardized production of components and efficient on-site assembly, reducing on-site wet work and construction waiting times.
Diverse Structural Types: Rural prefabricated integral housing offers a rich variety of structural types to meet different needs. The fully prefabricated rural houses promoted in Zhejiang Province mainly feature two types: light steel structures and concrete shear wall structures. Light steel structures offer advantages such as light weight, good earthquake resistance, and fast construction speed; concrete shear wall structures, on the other hand, have high strength and durability, making them suitable for multi-story buildings. Prefabricated rural houses in Hebei Province also adopt various structural forms, with large components such as columns, beams, and wall panels prefabricated in factories and assembled and fixed on-site, ensuring the overall stability and safety of the houses.
Strong Policy Support: To promote the development of rural prefabricated integral housing, local governments have introduced a number of supportive policies. Zhejiang Province has implemented policies such as financial subsidies and housing construction loans to reduce the construction costs for farmers; Hebei Province has taken the lead in solidifying provincial inclusive subsidy standards, providing a unified provincial subsidy of 10,000 yuan per household for farmers who build new prefabricated rural houses included in the pilot program. Additionally, the "Yunongtong" APP online application system has been launched to facilitate farmers' subsidy applications, and many cities and prefectures have also introduced supporting incentive measures on top of the provincial subsidies. These policies provide strong guarantees for the promotion of rural prefabricated integral housing.
