Rural Mobile Toilet Installation Process

Admin October 06, 2026

The installation process of rural mobile toilets varies depending on the type, mainly divided into three categories: finished mobile restrooms (bathroom units), mobile toilets requiring on-site assembly, and mobile toilets. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Installation Process for Finished Mobile Restrooms (Bathroom Units)

These toilets have their internal systems pre-installed at the factory, and users only need to complete external connections for use.

  1. Confirm Installation Location: Choose a flat area with good drainage, avoiding low-lying areas prone to water accumulation. Ensure good ventilation and keep away from domestic water sources (such as wells and rivers) to prevent contamination.
  2. Connect Water Supply and Drainage Systems:
    • Water Inlet Connection: Connect the factory-reserved water inlet to the external water supply pipe (such as tap water or a water storage tank) using a hose or PVC pipe. Use sealant or PTFE tape to ensure no leaks at the connections.
    • Drainage Connection: If using a septic tank for treatment, connect the drainage pipe to the septic tank inlet. If discharging directly, ensure the drainage pipe has a reasonable slope (usually ≥5%) to prevent blockages.
  3. Power Connection and Testing: If the toilet is equipped with lighting, ventilation, or heating devices, connect the power supply and test their functionality. Ensure grounding protection for safety.

II. Installation Process for Mobile Toilets Requiring On-Site Assembly

These toilets require users to assemble the main structure themselves, and tools such as an electric drill, 4.2mm drill bit, and rivet gun are needed.

  1. Assemble the Frame:
    • Install the inner corner pieces (such as the connectors between columns and beams) according to the design drawings, ensuring vertical angles and secure fixation.
    • Use a level to calibrate the overall levelness of the frame to avoid deviations during subsequent assembly.
  2. Assemble the Panels:
    • Insert the prefabricated panels (such as walls and floors) into the frame slots, align the edges, and press lightly to secure them, ensuring uniform gaps between panels (usually ≤3mm).
    • If the panels are heavy, two people should collaborate to complete the assembly to prevent deformation or damage.
  3. Secure the Structure:
    • Drill holes (about 10mm deep) at the connection points between the panels and the frame, insert rivets, and use a rivet gun to reinforce them, ensuring at least two rivets per connection point.
    • Check that all rivets are tightened and there are no loose or missing rivets.
  4. Install Accessories:
    • Install door locks, handles, ventilation windows, and other accessories, and test their smooth operation.
    • If the toilet is equipped with a water tank or septic tank, complete the internal pipe connections according to the instructions.

III. Installation Process for Mobile Toilets (Simplified Version)

These toilets are usually standalone toilets, and the installation steps are relatively simple, but attention to detail is required.

  1. Check Accessories: Verify that all accessories, including the toilet body, water tank, drainage pipe, and sealing ring, are complete and undamaged.
  2. Assemble Components:
    • Secure the water tank to the toilet body with bolts, ensuring the sealing ring at the connection is properly installed to prevent leaks.
    • Install the drainage pipe to the toilet outlet and secure it with clamps or glue, ensuring the pipe is not bent or blocked.
  3. Position and Secure:
    • Place the toilet in the predetermined location and adjust its levelness with a level to prevent wobbling during use.
    • If the floor is concrete or tiled, secure the toilet base with silicone sealant or expansion screws. If the floor is dirt, pour a concrete foundation first.
  4. Test Functionality:
    • Flush the toilet to test whether the water tank fills and drains properly, and check for leaks in the drainage pipe.
    • Adjust the water level of the inlet valve to ensure an appropriate flushing force and no noise.

Precautions:

  • Read the product manual before installation to understand the specific requirements of the model.
  • If electrical or plumbing modifications are involved, it is recommended to have them performed by professionals to avoid safety hazards.
  • Regularly inspect the fasteners and seals of the mobile toilet and replace aging components in a timely manner.
