Ruijin Container House

Admin September 15, 2026

There are situations related to container houses in Ruijin City, but there are no detailed policies specifically targeting container houses. Here is a detailed analysis:

In the Guwu Group of Gangbei Village, Hongqi Street, Ruijin City, one household has independently purchased a steel-structured container of about 20 square meters for residential use. The current housing situation of this household is a two-story brick-wood house with a building area of about 120 square meters, along with a one-story brick-wood toilet of about 2 square meters. However, this is a case of individual residents purchasing and using containers on their own, not large-scale construction or application of container houses.

From a policy perspective, there are currently no detailed policy regulations specifically targeting container houses in Ruijin City. The local area has relevant regulations for the construction and management of rural housing, such as the Ganzhou Rural Housing Construction and Management Regulations (implemented on March 1, 2023) and the Notice from the Ruijin Municipal People's Government Office on Solving the Housing Problems of Special Difficult Families in the Urban Planning Area (Ruifu Banzi [2018] No. 23). However, these policies mainly target the renovation, expansion, and new construction of traditional rural housing. They stipulate that for villagers outside the urban development boundary applying for housing renovation, expansion, or new construction, they must meet conditions such as one household having one house, with per capita housing area below 15 square meters, and the applicant, along with the applicant's parents, sons, and unmarried daughters, having only one house in total within the planning area of Ruijin City. These policies do not involve container houses.

In some construction projects in Ruijin City, such as those related to the Ruijin International Land Port, there is construction involving container cargo handling areas, with the installation of container-specific gantry cranes and container handling lines. However, these are mainly used for logistics, warehousing, and cargo handling, and are of a different nature from container houses for residential use.
