Installation of Mobile Toilet in Room
The following plans and precautions can be referred to for installing a mobile toilet in a room:

1. Direct Use of a Mobile Toilet Bowl
If there is no fixed bathroom in the room or temporary toilet facilities need to be added, a mobile toilet bowl is a convenient choice. Its advantage lies in the fact that no pipeline modification is required, and it can be directly placed in a corner of the room. It is especially suitable for use in winter or at night, avoiding the safety hazards of going back and forth to a fixed bathroom. A mobile toilet bowl usually includes a water storage tank and a bedpan. Some models are equipped with a flushing function. Regular cleaning of excrement and replacement of cleaning agents are required to maintain hygiene. When using it, pay attention to the following:
- Placement location: Keep it away from living areas such as beds and dining tables, maintain ventilation, and avoid the spread of odors.
- Stability: Choose a model with anti-slip pads at the bottom to prevent tipping.
- Privacy: It can be blocked by a screen or curtain to improve comfort.
2. Adjusting the Position of a Fixed Toilet Bowl (Requires Basic Bathroom Conditions)
If there is already a bathroom in the room but the position of the toilet bowl needs to be moved, the relocation method should be selected according to the drainage method:
Same-floor drainage (sunken bathroom)
- Principle: The drainage pipeline is buried in the sunken layer, and the position of the toilet bowl can be adjusted by directly lengthening or shortening the pipeline.
- Advantage: The relocation distance is flexible, and there is no need to damage the floor slab, having no impact on the residents downstairs.
- Note: Ensure that there is enough space in the sunken layer, and the slope of the pipeline after relocation meets the standard (usually ≥2%) to avoid blockage.
Inter-floor drainage (traditional bathroom)
- Method 1: Use a toilet bowl relocator
- Applicable scenario: Short-distance relocation (usually 10-30 cm, with a maximum of no more than 40 cm).
- Principle: Change the pipeline direction through a special joint, but it will slightly raise the base of the toilet bowl (about 3-5 cm).
- Limitation: Excessive relocation distance can easily lead to poor drainage, and the pipeline needs to be checked regularly.
- Method 2: Change from floor drainage to wall drainage
- Applicable scenario: The toilet bowl needs to be moved to the wall adjacent to the sewage riser.
- Principle: Pre-bury the drainage pipeline in the wall and connect the drainage outlet of the toilet bowl with the riser.
- Advantage: The relocation distance is flexible, and the toilet bowl can be hung on the wall, saving space.
- Note: The pipeline direction needs to be planned in advance, and the load-bearing capacity of the wall should be ensured.
- Method 1: Use a toilet bowl relocator
3. Construction Precautions
- Waterproofing: If pipeline modification is involved, re-waterproof the construction area and conduct a closed-water test (at least 24 hours).
- Slope control: The drainage pipeline should maintain a slope of ≥2% to ensure the smooth discharge of sewage.
- Compliance: The use of a mobile toilet bowl or pipeline modification should comply with local building codes to avoid affecting the structural safety of the house.
Choose a plan according to actual needs. If it is only for temporary use, a mobile toilet bowl is more economical; if long-term adjustment is required, it is recommended to give priority to same-floor drainage or changing from floor drainage to wall drainage.
