Residential Container House Construction

Admin September 16, 2026

The construction process of residential container houses mainly includes steps such as floor platform construction, wall frame construction, sound insulation treatment, roof construction, interior decoration, and final assembly, offering advantages like fast assembly, easy mobility, and low cost.

  1. Floor Platform Construction: At the beginning of construction, a wooden frame is used to build the floor platform, providing a stable foundation for subsequent wall construction. This step ensures the stability of the entire house structure.

  2. Wall Frame Construction: Next, the wall frame is constructed, with vertical posts nailed every 40 centimeters and horizontal bars used to reserve window positions. This design ensures the strength of the walls and facilitates the subsequent installation of windows.

  3. Sound Insulation Treatment: After the wall frame is constructed, glass fiber wool is stuffed into the walls. Glass fiber wool has good sound insulation properties, effectively reducing interference from external noise and enhancing living comfort.

  4. Roof Construction: During roof construction, fiberboard is laid first, followed by covering with plastic film. The edges of the roof joists are designed to be sloped, facilitating rapid drainage and preventing water accumulation from damaging the house.

  5. Interior Decoration: In the interior decoration phase, tile adhesive is used to lay the floor, and smooth wooden panels, wallpaper, and other decorative materials are installed to enhance the house's aesthetics. Additionally, power outlets and air conditioning vents are installed to meet the daily electricity and ventilation needs of occupants.

  6. Final Assembly: After all components are ready, final assembly is carried out. The walls are vertically lifted and fixed to the floor, with the exterior walls covered and sealed with plywood and reinforced with steel nails to ensure the house's airtightness and stability. Finally, stainless steel inlays and prefabricated doors and windows are installed to complete the construction of the entire house.

Residential container houses are formed by transforming containers as basic structural modules into habitable or office buildings. These houses offer advantages such as fast assembly, easy mobility, and low cost, and are widely used in temporary housing, construction site dormitories, tourist vacation homes, and other fields.
