Rental Contract for Outdoor Portable Toilets

Admin October 02, 2026

The contract for renting outdoor portable toilets should include the following core elements, with specific terms adjustable according to actual needs:

I. Contract Parties and Subject Matter

  1. Party Information: Clearly specify the names, addresses, and contact details of Party A (the lessor) and Party B (the lessee) to ensure both parties' legal identities and traceability.
  2. Rental Subject Matter: Provide a detailed description of the portable toilets' model, quantity, specifications (such as size and material), and ancillary facilities (such as internal equipment and sewage systems) to avoid disputes arising from ambiguous subject matter.

II. Rental Period and Fees

  1. Period: Clearly define the start and end dates. Short-term rentals can be charged on a daily basis (e.g., a full day's charge for less than one day), while long-term rentals can be agreed upon on an annual or monthly basis.
  2. Rent:
    • Pricing Model: Options include a fixed unit price (e.g., 450 yuan/month/unit) or tiered pricing (e.g., 620 yuan/seat/day for less than 15 days, and 580 yuan/seat/day for more than 16 days).
    • Payment Method: Specify the payment date (e.g., monthly payment) and the late payment penalty standard (e.g., X yuan per day).
  3. Deposit: Party B is required to pay a deposit, which will be refunded after deducting any damage costs upon the expiration of the rental period. The deposit amount can be agreed upon as a proportion of the rent.

III. Rights and Obligations of Both Parties

  1. Responsibilities of Party A:
    • Provide portable toilets that meet national quality standards and ensure legal business qualifications.
    • Be responsible for transportation, installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance (such as cleaning, disinfection, and fecal waste removal). Some contracts require cleaning twice a week and professional deodorization.
  2. Responsibilities of Party B:
    • Pay the rent and deposit on time, use the toilets reasonably, and not alter the structure or sublease without authorization.
    • Provide installation conditions (such as removing obstacles, preparing water supply and drainage pipelines, and power supply), and notify in advance and settle all fees when returning the toilets.

IV. Breach of Contract and Dispute Resolution

  1. Breach of Contract Liability:
    • If Party A fails to provide the toilets as agreed, it shall pay a penalty and compensate for losses.
    • If Party B is late in paying the rent or damages the toilets, it shall pay late fees, compensation, and repair costs.
  2. Dispute Resolution: If negotiation fails, the matter shall be brought before the People's Court in Party A's location according to law.

V. Other Clauses

  1. In the event of force majeure preventing the performance of the contract, both parties shall negotiate a solution.
  2. Any matters not covered herein may be addressed in a supplementary agreement, which shall have equal legal effect as this contract.
  3. This contract shall be executed in duplicate, with both parties signing and sealing it to take effect.

Tip: Contract terms should be adjusted according to the actual scenario. For example, short-term events can refer to the daily pricing model of the project in Xiuying District, Haikou City, while long-term construction site use can agree on monthly payments and restrict off-site use. It is advisable to consult legal professionals before signing to ensure compliance.
