Rental Mobile Toilet Without a Door

Admin September 28, 2026

Rental mobile toilets do indeed have designs without doors, but privacy can be enhanced through various methods.

Some mobile toilets adopt doorless structures to pursue specific design concepts or adapt to special usage scenarios. For example, the pink mobile women's toilet 'lapee' designed by a French designer uses a spiral structure and extended partitions to form a privacy barrier while ensuring ventilation and convenience, avoiding the inconveniences that traditional doors may bring (such as space occupation during door opening/closing and door lock failures). However, such designs offer relatively weak intuitive privacy protection. If users have high privacy requirements, the following methods can be used for optimization:

1. Partition for Enhanced Privacy
If the rental site has sufficient space and the budget allows, partitions can be added at the entrance of the mobile toilet. Materials such as gypsum board, tempered glass, or PVC board can be chosen:

  • Gypsum board: It has a relatively low cost and high plasticity, but attention should be paid to moisture-proof treatment to avoid deformation after long-term use;
  • Tempered glass: It has good light transmittance and durability, suitable for places with lighting requirements, but the edges should be polished smoothly to prevent scratches;
  • PVC board: It is waterproof and moisture-proof, lightweight, and easy to install, suitable for temporary outdoor use.
    It should be emphasized: The partition height is recommended to be no less than 1.8 meters, and the width should cover at least 30 centimeters on both sides of the entrance to form effective blocking. Before installation, consult a structural engineer to ensure that the connection between the partition and the mobile toilet is stable and to avoid tipping due to external forces (such as wind).

2. Curtain for Improved Flexibility
Hanging curtains at the entrance is an economical and practical privacy solution. The curtain material can be selected according to needs:

  • Transparent PVC curtain: Suitable for scenarios that require a certain degree of transparency (such as shopping malls and exhibitions), it can block the line of sight without completely blocking the light;
  • Opaque fabric curtain: Such as polyester or cotton-linen materials, it offers stronger privacy and is suitable for places with high privacy requirements (such as outdoor music festivals and construction sites).
    Installation points: The curtain should be fixed with tracks or hooks to ensure smooth opening and closing; the length is recommended to reach the ground to avoid privacy leakage due to gaps at the bottom.

3. Temporary Door for Long-term Needs
If the rented mobile toilet needs to be used in public places for a long time (such as more than one month), contact the merchant to install a temporary door. Temporary doors are usually made of lightweight aluminum alloy or plastic materials and are equipped with simple locks, which can meet privacy requirements and are easy to disassemble and reuse. It should be noted: Before installation, confirm whether the structure of the mobile toilet can bear the weight of the door to avoid frame deformation due to installation.

4. Screen for Flexible Blocking
Screens (such as folding or movable ones) are suitable for scenarios that require frequent adjustment of the privacy range. Their advantage lies in the ability to move or adjust the angle at any time without occupying fixed space. When choosing, consider the height of the screen (recommended to be no less than 1.5 meters) and the material (such as wood, metal, or fabric) to ensure both aesthetics and practicality.
