Renovated Container Mobile House

Admin September 17, 2026

The renovation of container mobile houses can be achieved through steps such as basic renovation, internal structural optimization, thermal and sound insulation treatment, waterproofing and rust prevention, and installation of water and electricity facilities, making them suitable for various scenarios.

Basic renovation steps are the primary phase in the renovation of container mobile houses. It is necessary to cut the container body and create doors and windows according to design requirements to ensure ventilation and lighting. When dealing with rust, it is essential to thoroughly remove the surface rust layer using sandpaper or a grinding machine and then reapply anti-rust paint to prevent rust from spreading. When installing doors and windows, it is important to select profiles that match the container dimensions and use sealing strips to ensure airtightness and prevent rainwater leakage. The internal floor should be replaced with wear-resistant and moisture-proof materials, such as composite flooring or tiles, and reinforced to withstand daily use pressure.

Internal structural optimization can enhance space utilization and comfort. Light steel keels are commonly used materials due to their lightweight, high strength, and fire-resistant, sound-insulating, and thermal-insulating properties, making construction easy. By constructing partitions or ceilings with keels, functional areas such as bedrooms, kitchens, or bathrooms can be divided, while also enhancing structural stability.

Thermal and sound insulation treatment addresses the deficiencies of single-layer iron sheet containers. A high-density polyurethane layer can be added to the inner walls of the container. With its low thermal conductivity, it effectively blocks heat transfer, improving winter insulation and summer heat resistance. If further noise reduction is required, sound-absorbing cotton or soundproof panels can be applied over the polyurethane layer to reduce external noise interference.

Waterproofing and rust prevention are crucial for extending the lifespan of containers. The roof should be fully covered with waterproofing membranes, such as SBS modified bitumen membranes, to ensure long-term waterproofing. For rusted parts of the container body, thorough grinding should be carried out before applying anti-rust paint; metal components such as support frames can be coated with anti-rust agents to form a protective film and slow down corrosion.

Water and electricity facility installation requires advance planning. Water and electricity interfaces, such as sockets, switches, and faucets, should be reserved according to functional requirements, and concealed piping should be laid to ensure safety and aesthetics. If used for residential purposes, drainage pipes, toilets, and other sanitary facilities need to be installed; if used for commercial purposes, such as a 24-hour self-service fitness cabin, ventilation systems, lighting equipment, and intelligent control modules should be configured.

Renovated container mobile houses have a wide range of applications, including temporary housing on construction sites, creative office spaces, post-disaster emergency buildings, characteristic homestay scenic spots, and commercial innovation projects. The renovation plan can be flexibly adjusted according to specific needs and budget.
