Quyang Simple Container House

Admin September 15, 2026

Quyang simple container houses generally refer to temporary buildings transformed from containers, featuring environmental protection, energy efficiency, flexible combination, and convenient disassembly and transportation. However, they have fire safety hazards and need to be used in a standardized manner to ensure safety.

I. Basic Characteristics and Uses

Quyang simple container houses resemble containers and are also known as residential containers or container residences. They are commonly used as workers' dormitories on construction sites, as well as for field operations, offices, temporary accommodations at tourist attractions, and even for rental housing. Their advantages include environmental protection and energy efficiency, as they can be reused; flexible combination, allowing for expansion according to needs; and convenient disassembly and transportation, enabling quick setup and removal to adapt to temporary use in different scenarios.

II. Fire Safety Hazards

  1. Illegal construction materials: To save costs, some temporary buildings on construction sites and illegal structures of enterprises often use flammable materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane foam for the core materials. These materials have poor fire resistance and safety, and can be ignited by electrical welding sparks or cigarette butts.
  2. Rapid combustion: Once flammable core materials catch fire, they melt and deform at 80℃, causing droplets that can trigger more severe combustion. The combustion products are also highly toxic.
  3. Difficult firefighting: After a fire breaks out, the flames spread rapidly and can easily cause collapse in a short time. The collapsed container houses are wrapped in iron sheets, making it difficult for water cannons to shoot water inside and increasing the difficulty of firefighting and rescue.
  4. Difficult escape for trapped individuals: When polystyrene and polyurethane burn, they produce thick black smoke, and toxic fumes accumulate inside the rooms, making it difficult for trapped individuals to escape and prone to casualties.

III. Safe Use Specifications

  1. Material selection: Use rock wool boards, fireproof cotton, and other materials that meet or exceed Class A fire resistance and fire endurance limits to construct container houses, ensuring compliance with fire safety conditions on construction sites.
  2. Fire source management: Keep heat sources and fire sources away from container houses, and maintain a certain distance for open flame operations.
  3. Electrical safety: Protect wires and cables with sleeves, use metal galvanized boxes for sockets and switch boxes and install them openly, and equip both the interior and exterior with simple firefighting equipment.
  4. Spacing requirements: Maintain a minimum safety distance of 6 meters between container houses.
