Quick Construction of Portable Toilets
There are two methods for quickly constructing portable toilets: modifying a water storage tank or combining a water storage tank with a pallet, both requiring tools and suitable for temporary scenarios.

Method 1: Water Storage Tank Modification
Basic Structure Construction
Split a large water storage tank horizontally in the middle to form two semi-cylindrical tank bodies. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom wooden board (as the base) to ensure mobility. Use wooden strips and self-tapping screws to vertically reinforce along the edge of the tank body, increasing the overall height to an appropriate range (usually 1.8-2 meters). Reserve a doorway position on the side and install sponge strips as door frame sealing materials.Wall and Roof Installation
Embed transparent or semi-transparent plastic soft panels as walls for natural lighting and waterproofing. Place the upper half of the water storage tank on top as a sloped roof, securing it with screws above the walls to form a rainproof structure. If insulation is needed, foam panels can be added inside the plastic panels.Functional System Integration
Drill a hole in the center of the bottom to install a drain pipe, connecting it to an external sewage tank or septic tank. Add a small water storage device (such as a plastic water tank) on the side for flushing water and connect to a bathroom heater system (optional) for winter warmth. Finally, secure a toilet (portable squat toilet or simple sit toilet recommended), ensuring the sewage outlet aligns with the bottom drain pipe.
Method 2: Water Storage Tank and Pallet Combination
Mobile Base Construction
Install universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of a plastic pallet and place a recycled water storage tank (such as a discarded oil drum) on the pallet as the main structure. If the height is insufficient, stack two tanks and fix them together with screws at the top and bottom.Opening and Drainage Design
Cut the top tank to form a circular or square opening as the entrance. Cut a rectangular doorway on the side of the tank, drill a hole in the internal floor, and install a drainage elbow, connecting it to a PVC pipe leading to an external sewage container. If a shower function is needed, drill a hole in the upper part of the tank to install a showerhead and connect it to a water pump system.Facility Installation and Enclosure
After securing the toilet, install a faucet and a sink (mini type recommended to save space) inside the tank. Cut a wooden board into a door panel and fix it to the doorway with hinges to ensure smooth opening and closing. The exterior can be painted with anti-rust paint or covered with decorative film for aesthetic enhancement.
Tools and Precautions
Both methods require tools such as an angle grinder (for cutting materials), self-tapping screws (for securing structures), and an electric drill (for drilling holes). Wear safety goggles and gloves during construction to avoid injury from cutting debris. After completion, test the drainage and sealing to ensure no leakage. These portable toilets are suitable for construction sites, camping, disaster relief, and other scenarios, but regular cleaning of the sewage system and inspection of structural stability are required for long-term use.
