Quanzhou Xijie Mobile Toilet
The mobile toilets on Quanzhou Xijie are mobile toilet buses, which were put into use by the Licheng District Urban Management Bureau before the May Day holiday to provide tourism support services. Details are as follows:
I. Commissioning Time and Locations
On the morning of April 24th, two mobile toilet buses were officially put into use at the Quanzhou Cinema and Zhongmin Baihui Xinhua Store locations. Among them, the Quanzhou Cinema location is situated at the entrance of Xijie near the Bell Tower, facilitating easy access for tourists.
II. Appearance and Internal Facilities
These mobile toilet buses feature a blue and white exterior, similar to ordinary buses, but their interiors are quite unique. Upon entering, there is a hand-washing area equipped with a sink, mirror, push-type hand sanitizer dispenser, and hand dryer to meet users' cleaning needs. On both sides of the bus are men's and women's restrooms, with a total of 8 single stalls, including 6 for women and 2 for men, along with 4 men's urinals, effectively allocating space and improving usage efficiency. Additionally, they are equipped with exhaust systems, temperature control systems, and grab bars. The exhaust system promptly removes odors, maintaining fresh air; the temperature control system adjusts the interior temperature according to the external environment, providing a comfortable restroom experience; and the grab bars offer convenience for those with mobility issues, enhancing overall user comfort.
III. Hygiene Assurance Measures
During peak tourist periods on holidays, each mobile toilet bus is staffed with dedicated cleaning personnel who adopt a "clean after each use" approach, meaning immediate cleaning after each use, and are equipped with deodorizers inside the buses to ensure cleanliness and provide a good user experience for tourists.
IV. Other Related Initiatives
In addition to the mobile toilet buses, the district urban management bureau has also installed 25 simple public toilets in key commercial areas, supplemented public toilet signage, and updated and pushed the locations of public toilets to Baidu Maps and Gaode Maps for easy tourist access. Meanwhile, the internal restrooms of 23 government agencies, enterprises, and institutions in the Licheng area are also open to the public, and public places such as street-side hotels and supermarkets can provide corresponding services, implementing multiple measures to meet tourists' restroom needs.
